Norton to develop a new 200hp 1200cc V4 bike, receives government funding

Norton has announced a new £7.5m project which includes £4 million of government funding. Thanks to the governtment money, Norton will build a new manufacturing facility and develop a new premium motorcycle and a new green motorcycle withing two years. Custom BMW R NineT by JSK Custom Design

JSK Custom Design is a relatively new player on the custom bike market since it was only launched in 2010. The company was founded by Samuel Kao who wanted to chase his dreams after relocating from Taiwan. Looking at his newest creation, he’s on the right track. The custom R NineT was built around a single idea: to make a fun motorcycle for the streets and for the dirt roads. Yamaha Yard Built XV950 „Dangan”

Last year Yamaha UK gave the UK’s biggest motorcycle weekly publication MCN an XV950 on loan. The plan for journalist Steve Hunt was to see what a relative novice could do with some bolt on parts and accessories to create his own custom build. The result is truly impressive; the Yard Built XV950 „Dangan” (Japanese for „bullet”) is a proper custom build and worthy of its place here amongst the other special Yard Built creations! Read the full article »

2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R recalled for potential fuel leak

The Austrian manufacturer is recalling its largest Duke because of a potential fuel leak. According to NHTSA, the threaded inserts that attach the internal overflow pipe to the fuel tank may leak fuel due to an irregularity in the coating process. There is no word on incidents yet and the total number of affected motorcycles is also unknown. Read the full article »

Pocket rocket – 2015 Honda CBR250R review

The Honda CBR250R is a good commuter bike that offers typical Honda quality. It’s single-cylinder engine delivers enough power for the commute but lacks the ability to excite. Still, if you’re looking for a safe (ABS is available for an extra $500) and economical bike that looks like a 600cc supersport machine, the CBR250R is a fine choice. Film animator and motorcycle enthusiast Ray Van Steenwyk invented a revolutionary steering and suspension system claimed to make riding safer. The new, purely triangulated steering and suspension system creates ultimate stability for the front end of a motorcycle. Morgan’s all-electric EV3 three-wheeler coming in 2016

Morgan Motor Company has introduced the EV3 prototype at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed this past weekend. The EV3 is an all-electric three-wheeler that is powered by a singler electric motor producing 60hp. According to Morgan, the prototype is capable of 150 miles on one charge, taking four hours to reach full battery capacity.
