Honda returns to Europe in the field of GT scooters with Faze

Honda will introduce a host of new colours for its current machines at the Cologne-based Intermot Show on 5 October. A number of all-new Honda models will then make their world debuts at the EICMA show in Milan from 2-7 November. The 1500sq meter Honda stand will be one of the main attractions of EICMA, where the Japanese will introduce the new Faze maxi scooter. This model is already on sale in Japan in the 250cc version, but possibly there will be a 125cc and a 300cc version. 2011 Honda Varadero 125 colours announced

The Varadero has long been a favourite for riders of all abilities since its launch in 2001. With the Varadero offering more generous proportions than many other 125cc machines, the bike became soon a favourite with urban riders, commuters and learners bike. The 15hp-strong bike weighs just 154kg and has a top speed of 108 km/h. The little Honda will get a slight visual tweak for the 2011 model year, with the addition of what’s described as a „sporty new colour”, the Pearl Sienna Red. Honda RS125: world’s fastest 125cc

This Honda RS125-powered streamliner has set a new speed record on the Bonneville Salt Flats by achieving a two-way average speed of 146mph. 27-year-old Scott Kolb broke a 27 years old world record. The Honda RS125 is a custom framed bike that features radically altered geometry and a 98 inches wheelbase. Scott had to modify the bike with some additional features. He stretched the bike for more 40 inches, and replaced the radiator with a streamlined fairing. Read the full article »

Honda to reveal 8 new models at EICMA show?

The Japanese manufacturer decided to skip the Milan show last year due to economic crisis, but they won’t miss this year’s EICMA. The press office of Honda doesn’t say a word but rumours suggest Honda will be back stronger than ever. It seems they will be presenting eight new models at the 2010 show. They bring their latest motorcycle technology and new models, while at the INTERMOT show in Cologne (October 6-10) they will be presenting a range of new colors for their top selling models. Read the full article »

Honda unveils 2011 motorcycles

Honda recently revealed a few of its street bikes for the 2011 model year. "The 2011 model year lineup continues to expand for Honda," stated Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino. "Here we have a variety of very popular cruisers and customs, a pair of Honda off-road machines that have remained extremely popular with riders over the years, plus a revamped and very impressive Big Red MUV. Honda Canada marketing boss: „motorcycle business is bankrupt”

Canada is a special market for the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers – many of them announced some products for Canada that have yet to be made available in the U. S. Yamaha is bringing the new Fazer 8 and FZ8 into the country, while Kawasaki announced it will offer the new Ninja 400R. Honda lifts forecast after strong sales drive Q1

Honda Motor Co posted its best quarterly operating profit in two years on brisks in the US, China, and other Asian markets. Japan’s second biggest automaker raised its forecast despite a sharp rise in the yen. Honda’s motorcycle, scooter and ATV sales are up 28.2% over Q1 of 2009, selling over 2.8 million units compared to Q1 2009’s 2.25 million units. Read the full article »

2011 Honda off-road CRF450R has arrived

Honda has announced its new CRF450R off-road machine. The four-stroke enduro got some serious updates for 2011 model year, including a new ECU, fuel injector, chassis and suspension. Honda revealed zero-emission future

Honda has unveiled the company's future plans, which includes solar charging stations and cheaper zero-emission technology. Company president and CEO Takanobu Ito has outlined in his speech: Honda will begin lease sales of battery-powered EV-neo scooter to businesses in Japan later this year.
