Video: TT Zero Promo

The TT Zero race is in its third year and the clean emissions motorcycle race made a huge success so it’s no surprise that the Isle of Man Government’s Department of Economic Development has confirmed that the ground-breaking race will again take place on the Isle of Man in 2011. Paris Hilton to launch 125cc MotoGP team for 2011

According to MotoGP.com, the American media star is to launch her own MotoGP team. Hilton will join forces with the BQR set-up with riders Sergio Gadea and Maverick Viñales. Called SuperMartxe VIP by Paris Hilton, the team will compete in the 125cc class in 2011. Paris Hilton will be present at Hotel ME in Madrid this Saturday (December 18th) for the official presentation of the SuperMartxé VIP by Paris Hilton team. Read the full article »

Max Biaggi wins Golden Helmet award

The annual „Golden Helmet” award was held in Bologna last night and this year Max Biaggi, winner of the 2010 World Superbike Championship, collected Motosprint’s award. “It’s nice to win the gold helmet, but the top riders have a very specific meaning, which fills me with pride. American Honda announced racing plans for 2011

In 2011, Honda welcomes two new riders who will contest both the AMA Supercross Championship and AMA Motocross Championship aboard Honda CRF450R race machines. Pit Bull/KWS BMW S1000 RR hits 203mph!

The new BMW S1000 RR is one of the fastest superbike on the market. The German bike now holds the ECTA top speed world record for 1,000cc production motorcycles, with Chad Millholland hitting 325 km/h (202mph) on a stock S1000 RR. The bike was modified by two companies – Pit Bull and KWS Motorsports. Ducati launches 2011 848EVO racing program

Ducati North America is excited to announce the new 848EVO Club Racing program, designed to support enthusiast club racers competing with the 848EVO Superbike in the 2011 season. Video: Ducati Diavel and Mercedes CLS 63 AMG

We already know that Italian motorcycle manufacturer and German automaker have signed a cooperation agreement yesterday at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The partnership means that Mercedes AMG will support the Ducati MotoGP team as the Official Car Partner from 2011. The partners are currently examining the further activities and strategic steps they might undertake together in the near future. The two companies have now released a video of the new Ducati Diavel power cruiser and Mercedes CLS 63 AMG meeting on the road. Read the full article »

Ducati and Mercedes announce partnership

Ducati introduced its new power cruiser, the Diavel in Los Angeles alongside the new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG, and the head of AMG, Ola Kallanius also took time to announce a new partnership with Ducati. The most important result of the deal is that Mercedes will be official sponsor of Ducati MotoGP team in 2011. Nicky Hayden, one of the team’s rider also attended the event. The Australian rider will get a CLS 63 AMG which produces 518hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. Read the full article »

Moto3 rules finally released

The GP Commission has finally announced the details on the upcoming Moto3 class, which will replace the 125cc 2-stroke category in 2012. The new machines will use a four-stroke 250cc single-cylinder engine with an 81mm maximum bore size. The organisers wanted to make the class cheaper than the current entry-level category so teams can only implement limited level of electronics and the engine will have a maximum rpm of 14,000. With multiple manufacturers able to offer engines and chassis for the new class, Moto3 should be more open than the Moto2. Read the full article »

KTM 450 Rally: new Dakar race bike introduced

KTM finally decided not to pull out of Dakar after the announcement of the new 450cc capacity limit from 2011. The manufacturer introduced today the 450 Rally which is KTM’s response to the new rule. The race bike features a massive trellis frame, a high-performance engine with larger bore and smaller stroke. The engineers coupled the single-cylinder 4-stroke engine with a 5-speed gearbox. Other interesting facts about the bike: the 450 Rally has a dry weight of 150kg (330lbs) and features a 35-liter (9.2 gallons) fuel tank that saddles the frame. The 450 Rally carries a price tag of €29,300 ($41,200). A spare engine costs €5,000 extra. Read the full article »
