The biggest BMW Motorrad party in 2014

Anyone who has been to the BMW Motorrad Days at least once is familiar with the basic atmosphere: by day there is a great elebration of motorcycling and at night people on the same wavelength simply celebrate life itself - and both parts are as relaxed and open-minded as is typical of the very best motorcycle parties. BMW Motorrad: growth at 9.3%

BMW Motorrad has achieved an all-time six-month high in the first half of this year. With worldwide sales of 70,978 motorcycles and maxi scooters (previous year: 64,941 units), this amounts to an increase of 9.3% as compared to the equivalent period of the previous year. 11,827 vehicles (previous year: 12,541 units/ -5.7%) were sold in June 2014. Read the full article »

Historic triple with BMW Motorrad

Michael Dunlop also triumphs in the Senior TT on the Isle of Man. Isle of Man/Munich, 8th June 2014. BMW Motorrad and Michael Dunlop (NI) have repeated history, echoing Georg “Schorsch” Meier’s (DE) legendary Senior TT victory of 1939 on the Isle of Man. Dunlop’s third BMW-powered victory of the week came in the most prestigious race of all: the blue riband Senior TT race. Before that, Dunlop had already won the Isle of Man TT Superbike and Superstock races on the BMW S 1000 RR. New BMW Electrical Scooter

New BMW Electrical Scooter’s launch in Barcelona closed with seminars about future challenges of Urban Mobility. Since last April 24th until today, Barcelona has been the setting of the International launch of BMW’s first completely electrical scooter, the BMW C Evolution. With this innovative initiative as backdrop, this morning a meeting took place that gathered experts from different parts of the world for an in-depth discussion about the challenges of sustainable mobility in the cities. BMW Motorrad achieves 7.7% growth

In May 2014, 14,088 (previous year: 13,081 units) motorcycles and maxi scooters were supplied to customers worldwide. This represents an increase in sales of 7.7% or 1,007 units as compared to May 2013 and a new record for BMW Motorrad for the month of May. In the first five months, BMW Motorrad delivered a total of 59,151 (previous year: 52,400 units) vehicles. Compared to the same period in the previous year, this represents a rise of 12.9%, or 6,751 vehicles. Read the full article »

The aspirations of BMW Motorrad with regard to future generations of boxer-powered roadsters take concrete, emotionally charged shape at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 in the form of the BMW Concept Roadster. Last year BMW Motorrad presented the BMW Concept Ninety here - a modern interpretation of a classic BMW motorcycle with boxer engine that demonstrated just how emotional a retrospective on 90 years of BMW Motorrad can be.
