Video: Empty Ducati company and Nicky Hayden

The Italian company launched a special contest this year, which has come to an end. According to Ducati, over 900 designs have been uploaded onto the www.shicon.com website for design competitions, through which Ducati launched the Ducati Greetings Contest. Aside from this, Ducati launched a special video which shows the empty company and the 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden. Video: 2011 BMW K 1600 GT

BMW introduced the new K 1600 GT at this year’s Intermot, and now, a few month later the manufacturer released a video of the bike. With the new K 1600 GT, BMW motorcycles are now available for the first time with a 6-cylinder in-line power unit developed in-house. The 1649cc six-cylinder engine delivers 160hp and 175 Nm of torque, and now we can understand why BMW didn’t put music in the video, the sound of the engine is quite impressive. Read the full article »

Video: BMW S1000 RR subliminal ad

Appearently, BMW Motorrad had some advertising money to waste, so they created an ad which is based on the idea of after image effect. These are practically hidden ads that are projected that is not visible to the normal eyes but register in your brain. After the ad, when you close your eyes, you are able to see the projected image, which was in this case a BMW logo. Note: this is a video on Youtube, not in the cinema, so don’t even try to close your eyes. What do you think? One-off Ferrari 900 motorcycle up for auction

No, Ferrari didn’t start building motorcycles. This machine was built by Kay Engineering as a tribute to Enzo Ferrari. The one-off motorcycle features a 900cc, transverse double overhead camshaft, four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The eight-valve unit delivers 105hp at 8,800rpm and has a dry weight of only 172 kg. The estimated top speed of the machine is 265 km/h. The bike will be auctioned at a Race Retro event which will take place at Stoneleigh Park, Conentry on 25-27 February. Read the full article »

Video: V12-powered Aston Martin bike

Large motorcycle manufacturers usually stop at eight cylinder, but some riders want more power and more agressive sound that a 1800-2000cc six-cylinder can offer. They usually build a V8-powered custom bike for themselves. But V12? A German guy had a dream and then built this beauty, which is just absurd. On-board video: World’s fastest Suzuki Hayabusa goes 278mph

At the Texas Mile, October 2010, Bill Warner of Wild Bros Racing goes 278.6 mph (448.36 km/h) in a standing start mile, on a 650rwhp turbo charged Suzuki Hayabusa Streetbike. On-board video taken facing rearward using an AiM Sports SmartyCam with in-video display of GPS speed. Video: Horex VR6 engine sound

German motorcycle manufacturer Horex announced its comeback back in June. Their first new bike will be the VR6, a supercharged six-cylinder naked cruiser which features a 15° six-cylinder engine delivering 200hp. The VR6 is a uniquely suitable arrangement for a motorcycle, packing six cylinders into a package only slightly larger than an inline-four and considerably shorter than a V6.
