To mark the launch of a new clothing line, Barbour and Triumph have now unveiled the Street Tracker, a custom built Bonneville. UK’s two most famous bike brands have created a custom bike that has a tough image and feels really raw. The bike carries the name „Barbour International Triumph 1 Street Tracker” (shortly BIT1) and celebrates a new clothing line that will be available in Triumph dealerships from August 2015.

Do you remember the image of Steve McQueen standing alongside a Triumph Bonneville? Well, he was wearing a Barbour International jacket on that image. Since McQueen is the king of cool and that picture is really iconic, it’s a surprise that two of UK’s most important bike brands didn’t collaborate -until now.

Barbour, founded back in 1936, and Triumph, the oldest continuous bike production company in the world, announced a new clothing range for the 2015 Autumn/Winter collection. To draw more eyes, the two companies built a custom Bonneville that was unveiled at the Bike Shed in London.

The BIT1

„The Street Tracker is a stripped down flat-track Bonneville with a pure and raw character.” says the press release. Details abound including extensive frame modification, removing all of the rear passenger metal work, pillion pegs, subframe and battery box. A bespoke Redmax Speedshop seat was modified to provide the authentic flat-track tail. Suspension duties are handled by custom build K-Tech Razor rear shocks and the complete replacement of the Bonneville front with something more fitting from its Street Triple R stablemate.  Slash cut pipes and a conversion to carbs, swapping out the stock EFI system for Keihin 36mm smooth-bores are yet further examples of the team’s desire to produce a true one-off to amplify the unique partnership.
