Chinese 250cc V-Twin revealed

The Chinese have just revealed a Europen patent of a V-Twin that suggests that they may have plans to offer bikes in the old continent. The engine was introduced at a recent motorcycle show in Guangzhou, China. Now, before you laugh at them, just take a look at recent made-in-China cars and realize how fast their car manufacturers got in the last ten years. They certainly have the money to buy a smaller European or Japanese manufacturer to get the know-how and with an attractive price tag, the well-established companies could face a serious challenge. Read the full article »

2015 Ducati Scrambler production begins

Ducati has begun production of its new scrambler at the Bologna factory in Italy. In just six months time since the project was presented to Ducati employees, the bike has entered production. The new model is very important for Ducati since it is the first scrambler after the company stopped manufacturing scramblers 40 years ago. The first bikes off the line was greeted by Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, together with Silvano Fini, Manager of the Borgo Panigale plant. Read the full article »

2015 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Desert Edition: a new colour scheme and a sat nav

Suzuki has revealed a new limited edition of the V-Strom 1000. The company added several extras including a Garmin sat nav and a Khaki colour scheme. Panniers, centre stand, hand guards, heated grips, engine bars and LED fog lamps are also included as standard fitment. The Desert Edition will be available in dealerships from 2015 for 10,599 pounds, 600 pounds more than the V-Strom 1000 Adventure. Read the full article »

2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M prices revealed

The 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 and R1M have been unveiled at the EICMA show a couples of weeks ago, the latter of the two being the “most MotoGP-inspired motorcycle ever”. The Japanese manufacturer has now officially announced the Europe prices for its flagship motorcycle. The new YZF-R1 has been priced at 18,495 € in the continent ($16,490 in the US) while the XZF-R1M costs 22,995 € ($21,990 in the US) .
