2011 Benelli TnT R160 now available at dealerships

Italian manufacturer Benelli revealed the new TnT R160 naked bike. The R160 features a three-cylinder engine which delivers 155hp and 120Nm of torque. The bike carries a price tag of $17,000. Born on the Roadster Cup Race, the R160 is a hymn to the performance, thanks to a three-cylinder engine in its most refined, and chassis that is enriched with adjustable suspensions: giving you a pleasure to get best lap time or enjoy the most beautiful mountain roads. Read the full article »

McGuinness secures 17th TT win and 2011 championship in thrilling finale

John McGuinness won a thrilling PokerStars Senior race on Friday evening when he came from behind to take his 17th TT victory in the final race of the 2011 Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy in a new Race Record time of 1:45.45.80, beating Steve Plater’s 2009 time. The race was delayed by 5 hours due to inclement weather in the North of the Island, and the Honda TT Legends rider found himself seven seconds in arrears at the end of the first lap but he gradually reeled in early race leader Guy Martin and he was 13 seconds clear by the end of lap 5. Read the full article »

2012 Buell 1190RS introduced

Meet the new Buell 1190RS. The 1190RS is the first new streetbike to carry Buell’s name since Harley-Davidson discontinued the original Buell Motorcycle brand. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled V-Twin claiming 175 hp at 9750rpm and 97 ft-lb. at 9100rpm. As previously reported, the 1190RS will use Ohlins suspension. The front brake uses an 8-piston caliper and is equipped with cooling ducts. The base EBR 1190RS will have a price tag of $39,999 while the Carbon Package is an extra $4,000. Read the full article »

Video: World’s first synchronized double backflip performed by Travis Pastrana and Cam Sinclair

7-time X Games medalist Travis Pastrana and dozens of the world’s greatest action sports stars performed in the North American debut of Nitro Circus Live at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The show of world-firsts kicked off when Pastrana asked his long-term girlfriend, Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins to marry him. “I wasn’t supposed to do this until the end of the show, but I was so nervous I couldn’t wait. Honda to expand motorcycle production in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd. announced plans to expand production capacity of its second motorcycle production plant, which is currently under construction, and to build a third motorcycle production plant to meet increasing demand in the rapidly growing motorcycle market in India. The second plant is currently being built in the Tapukara Industrial Area of Rajasthan and is scheduled to become operational in July 2011 with annual production capacity of 0.6 million units. Read the full article »
