Two pictures of Suzuki’s new middle-class adventure bike

The Japanese manufacturer is working on a brand new middle-weight adventure bike. It’s still unclear whether the replacement of the V-Strom will feature a 650cc, an 800cc or even a 1000cc engine. Sources say that the new bike will be more off-road capable than the current V-Strom. Unfortunately, the teaser images don’t show much, but we are sure that we will see more images in the near future. Rumors from Europe suggest some styling cues from the Gladius, with a more off-road-oriented design with spoked wheels replacing the cast aluminum hoops on the V-Strom, and more robust suspension bits. Read the full article »

Special Edition of EV-neo for Repsol Honda Team

Honda has designed a commercial electric scooter to assist businesses dealing with the transport of heavy goods or delivery services. The special edition Repsol branded EV-neo will be used by the riders and team at Honda Racing Corporation to move parts and personnel around at the MotoGP races worldwide. On top of the excellent environmental performance - zero emissions in particular CO2, whilst riding, the EV-neo uses a motor that even with cargo loaded, generates high torque in the low-speed range to achieve a powerful start and hill-climbing performance. Read the full article »

New Zero S awarded E-Bike of the Year

Electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles have announced that their Zero S electric motorcycle received the prestigious “e-Bike of the Year” award at Europe’s Clean Week 2020. Being evaluated among electric motorcycles from around the world, the Zero S finally became the first electric motorcycle to win the newly created category. This year, all Zero Motorcycles models come with several technical improvements as well as a new look, including a complete overhaul of the Zero S and the Zero DS. Read the full article »

New colour schemes for 2011 Peugeot Tweet RS scooter

Peugeot have introduced two cool new colour schemes for their big wheel 125 RS scooter in response to booming demand for machines of this capacity from customers. Featuring striking ice white or mad black bodywork, contrasting black wheels with polished alloy rims and 226mm Shuricane wavy front disc brake, the 125 RS is a striking machine. Sales of scooters rose by 30% during the first three months of 2011 in Great Britain, with the 125cc capacity growing by an equally impressive 27%. Read the full article »

Video: ¼ mile race BMW S1000RR, F800R, R1200GS, M3 and M5

German motorcycle accessoriy specialist Hornig organized a quarter mile race with the finest BMW machines with two and four wheels. It’s no surprise that the S1000 RR won the race with 9,72 sec. The F800R - which has only 87hp - rocketed to second place with 11,54 sec. The R1200GS Adventure finished third with 11,86 sec, while the M5 beat the M3 by just 0,06 second. It’s amazing to see that these „slow” bikes with under 100hp beat these fine sports cars. Read the full article »

Harley XLST3 Sportster Dirt Track

The custom division of UK based Shaw Harley-Davidson created another special Sportster model. The XLST3 is based on a 2011 XL1200N Sportster Nightster and was inspired by the look of the 70’s Dirt Trackers. The bike features an in-house built exhaust system, chain drive, titanium nitrided forks, Öhlins shocks, progressive springs and XL883 fork lowers. Performance Machine brake system is hooked up to Roland Sands Design Black Ops 13” brake rotors, and the gas tank comes from RSD, too. Read the full article »

Casey Stoner claims third win in Catalunya

Repsol Honda rider Casey Stoner pulled away from championship leader Jorge Lorenzo to win the Catalunya Grand Prix on Sunday. The Australian rider rocketed to his third win to the season. Stoner took the lead from Jorge Lorenzo on lap two and and pulled away. Lorenzo got a good start and was first into turn one, but he could not hold off Stoner. American Ben Spies came third ahead of Dovizioso and Rossi. Read the full article »

New graphics for the 2012 Honda XR650L

According to Honda, the XR650L „has grown to become a legend in its own time”, which usually means the bike is on the market long time ago and its successor is on its way. This time, we’ll have to wait more. For the 2012 model year, the XR650L will return to accomplish all kinds of two-wheeled missions once more. The 650 is a street legal, multi-purpose bike, capable of handling demanding off-road routes, single-track, winding fire roads, paved roads, highways and freeways. Read the full article »

2011 Vespa S Sport and GTS SuperSport

The Sport special edition of Vespa embodies the values of style, comfort and sportiness while citing the legendary models of the past such as the 1955 Vespa GS 150, the 1965 180 SS and the T5 „Pole Position” from 1985. Video: An-Bu Yamaha GX400SP Cafe Racer

Nagoya-based Japanese company An-Bu builds stripped-back customs. Their newest creation is a Yamaha Cafe Racer. The bike is based on the Yamaha GX400SP which was produced in the late 70’s. The guys at An-Bu cut down the frame and lowered the suspension. The Yamaha now features a narrow tank and a tire-hugging tail unit. Although the look is interesting, there is something that does not work for us. Is it the high front end or the too low and too short back end? Full gallery after the jump. Read the full article »
