Video: 2011 Aprilia Tuono V4R

The Italian company revealed the new Tuono V4R at the EICMA show in Milan earlier, and now we can see the bike on the official video. Power comes from a 1000cc V4 engine which is mated with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features Brembo brakes, titanium forks, fully adjustable rear shock, and a bunch of modern electronics including ABS, wheelie control, quick shifter. All in all, the Tuono V4R is a great machine but the manufacturer definitely needs a better marketing company. Read the full article »

Video: 2011 Honda VFR800X Crossrunner

Honda introduced its new middleweight adventure bike at the EICMA show two weeks ago. The VFR 800 X will compete with Triumph Tiger and Ducati Multistrada. Reports says the bike could go into production as early as 2011 and will have a price tag of €11,000. The Crossrunner is powered by a 782cc V4 engine which produces 102hp and 54lbs-ft of torque. The bike features an aluminium twin-spar frame, 43mm cartridge-type front fork, cast aluminium Pro-Arm swingarm, Pro-Link rising-rate linkage system and gas-charged HMAS damper with adjustable rebound damping. Read the full article »

Video: Jeremy Irons picks up his BMW R1200GS in Hungary

Oscar-winning English actor Jeremy Irons rides a BMW R1200GS enduro bike in Hungary. The popular actor, who usually rides a BMW R1200RT, is currently filming the television series „The Borgias” in the Central European country and wanted another bike to use during his stay in Budapest. “I like working in Hungary, but I haven’t had the chance yet to get to know the country by motorcycle. I have been to Esztergom by car and I will definitely go back on a bike because I really liked it. Read the full article »

Video: Kawasaki W800 retro bike in detail

Kawasaki recently introduced the successor of its popular W650, the W800. We have a new video now of the machine which shows us the bike in detail. The machine features a parallel 2-cylinder 800cc engine with fuel injection that replaces the old carburetor system. The engine delivers around 70hp and plenty of torque at low revs. The power is transmitted to the wheels via a 5-speed gearbox. The classic-style bike uses a lightweight double-crade frame, telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers with adjustable preload. Read the full article »

Video: how Kawasaki’s sport traction control works

The 2011 ZX-10R features Kawasaki’s sport traction control, the S-KTRC. This system comes straight from the race track (MotoGP), and the manufacturer released a video now, which explains the difference between a normal traction control and the S-KTRC. The ZX-10R’s system constantly monitors the separate speeds of the front and rear wheels, engine RPM, throttle position, acceleration and other factors. When the S-KTRC recognizes a small amount of slip, reacts in five milliseconds, altering engine ignition. Read the full article »

Video: 2011 KTM 990 Supermoto T gets ABS

The Austrian company introduced the new 990 SM T with the addition of dual-channel ABS system engineered by Bosch at the Intermot show this week. Just how good are the new brakes? KTM calls its new 990 SM T the “Queen of negative acceleration.” The bike features dual 305mm discs front and 240mm rotor back. With a six-speed transmission, upright seating position and host of bolt-on goodies from the PowerParts catalog, the SM T could very well prove to be the ultimate street bike. Read the full article »

Video: Kawasaki unveiled the company’s all-new W800 classic bike

After three years of hiatus, the Japanese brand has finally bought us the successor of the popular W650 classic bike. The newbie, called the W800 is set to take on Triumph’s Bonneville range. The W800 features a vertical twin engine, large diameter wheels, traditional instrumentation, and lots of metal – plastic was eshewed in favour of metal as much as possible. The W800 uses a lightweight double-crade frame, telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers with adjustable preload. Video: BMW S1000 RR vs. Nissan GT-R

After seeing the Agni Z2 and the Citroen Survolt take to the track, here’s another bikes vs. cars comparison video. The BMW S1000 RR is without doubt one of the biggest hit in the supersport category in 2010, while the GT-R even managed to compete on equal terms with Porsche of late. We already know how well the Bimmer against its Japanese and Italian two-wheeler rivals performs, but what about cars? Kawasaki’s new Z750R has a lot of good things going for it. The „R” version has some design tweaks, new fully adjustable forks and a revised rear shock. But you don’t need to know any of this to start your $/€, all you need is the official video. Kawasaki says of the bike “The Z750R is an impressive package. Video: Xerox with Ducati motorcycle TV ad

Although Ducati quits SBK at the end of the season, and this will presumably be the end of Xerox title sponsorship of a factory race team, the american company, whose name is synonymous with photocopying, would like to capitalize on this relationship while it can. The result is a semi-engaging ad, in which Xerox shows that Ducati have chosen Xerox for their business needs.
