KTM presents the 2011 50 SXS race bike

KTM North America has presented a limited edition bike based on the 2011 50 SX. The bike, called the 50 SXS features a number of upgrades from KTM Powerparts including a new throttle assembly, clutch setting, Renthal diamond grips and bar pad, 38-T rear sprocket and special graphics. The 50 SXS has an FMF SXF silencer, Race Tech SXS shock with preload and rebound adjustability and Race Tech SXS fork front with internal compression adjustability. Read the full article »

Benelli debuts 2011 TnT 899 Century Racer

In 2011 the Italian manufacturer celebrates 100 years of producing motorcycles. The company created two special editiom models, the TnT 1130 Century Racer and the TnT 899 Century Racer. Both bikes pay homage to the racing legend of Pasolini via a Centenary Green paint scheme which gives the TnT a more sportier attitude. The engineers equipped the Century Racer with fully adjustable Marzocchi fork at the front. The Italians used Brembo radial brakes and yellow rear ahock absorber. Read the full article »

2011 Triumph Speedmaster and Thruxton introduced

The British manufacturer continues to announce its 2011 model lineup. The two newest member are the 2011 Speedmaster and Thruxton. The new Speedmaster features an air-cooled 865cc parallel-twin, 270 degree crank engine. The bike got unique 'hot rod' style. The very essence of low-slung, old-school cruiser re-invented for the demands of today's rider. New for 2011, short guards, big wheels and a totally new feel. Read the full article »

2011 Peugeot CityStar 125 scooter revealed

French manufacturer Peugeot has recently added a new mid-range scooter to its lineup. The Citystar 125 replaces the Elystar 125 model and will join the Tweet, LXR, Geopolis, Vivacity, Satelis and Sum-up in Peugeot’s scooter range. The new Citystar is powered by a single cylinder four-stroke engine which features direct injection and water cooling. The engine delivers 13,5hp and 12Nm of torque. 2011 Yamaha FZ16: sporty commuter bike from Yamaha India

The new Yamaha FZ16 is a mid segment street bike that gives its riders the feel of riding a high end, muscular sports bike. The FZ16 features an agressive, robust styling, huge tank, beefy forks and wide tyres. It is powered by a 153cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine which delivers 14hp and 10ft-lb. It is a bike designed for the urban rider and its design as well as technological features makes it give a feather smooth ride in city traffic. The FZ16 has a price tag of 65,000 Rupees in India (appr. $1,453). However, there are no current plans to sell the FZ16 in the US. Read the full article »

Triumph America updated for 2011

Triumph has updated its popular cruiser for the 2011 model year. The America got new, more classic styling and a wide range of accessories which allow customers to create an individual look. The engineers pulled the handlebars back, and the seat height is now only 690mm which creates a greater harmony between rider and machine. Video: 2011 Honda VFR800X Crossrunner

Honda introduced its new middleweight adventure bike at the EICMA show two weeks ago. The VFR 800 X will compete with Triumph Tiger and Ducati Multistrada. Reports says the bike could go into production as early as 2011 and will have a price tag of €11,000. The Crossrunner is powered by a 782cc V4 engine which produces 102hp and 54lbs-ft of torque. The bike features an aluminium twin-spar frame, 43mm cartridge-type front fork, cast aluminium Pro-Arm swingarm, Pro-Link rising-rate linkage system and gas-charged HMAS damper with adjustable rebound damping. Read the full article »

2011 Triumph Bonneville T100: Retro meets modern

The British brand introduced the newest member of its 2011 lineup, the new Bonneville T100. The iconic model uses a 865cc parallel-twin double overhead camshaft engine that delivers 68hp. Neat retro touches like the fake carburettors that hide the fuel injectors, dummy pushrod tubes and positioning of the ignition key pay respect to Bonneville legend. Video: Four-wheeled scooter revealed

The three-wheeled scooter concept is not new, Piaggio has the popular MP3 models in its lineup but a young Italian manufacturer has come up now with a brand new, four-wheeled scooter concept. The Quadro 4D will be the first vehicle of its kind on the market. The combination of four wheels positioned closely together and the hydraulic tilting technology allow this unique vehicle a range of performance not yet paralleled in the industry—think stairs, curbs, potholes are no obstacle.
