Triumph lifestyle accessories by design students

MA Product design students at the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design have produced a collection of prototype accessories. Students have drawn inspiration from the Triumph Bonneville T100. The collection of 18 alternative lifestyle „accessories”were judged by a team from Triumph. Following their deliberations the judges chose British student, Nick Orme’s, ‘Corkscrew’, incorporating a brake lever assembly, as the winning prototype design awarding him a placement at Triumph. Read the full article »

The helmets will be available from March in five colors: Vintage White, Blue Eclipse, Dark Grey, Bitter Chocolate, and Black Satin. Using the best materials and a high standard of craftsmanship, the BOSS Black Menswear collection was developed to meet the genuine lifestyle of urban men who seek the perfect unison between safety, function and contemporary design. British wheel manufacturer Dymag returns

Old British wheel manufacturer Dymag bounces back. In January 2010, CSA International Ltd acquired the assets of Dymag Racing UK Limited from the liquidator, and with the help of Dymag engineers and experts is bringing the Dymag brand back to market, with an initial focus on motorcycle wheels. Cobra Engineering announced the release of its new accessory line for Honda VT1300 Sabre, Stateline and Interstate models. The Speedster exhaust system increase horsepower while lowering the sound level. Michelin introduced two new road tyres

In January 2011, Michelin will bring to market two new motorcycle tyres designed for road use. The new Pilot Road 3 range will target users of sport touring bikes while a new version of the Power Pure sports tyre will be added to the current lineup. Spearheading the sport touring lineup, the Pilot Road 3 was designed to deliver superior grip in all conditions of use as well as outstanding total mileage. Akrapovic exhaust system for the Kawasaki Z1000 SX

Akrapovic announced a new racing exhaust sytem for the Kawasaki Z1000 / Z1000 SX. The system is designed for riders who demand maximum performance from their motorcycle and is almost 10 kg lighter than the stock exhaust. The pipe features hi-tech materials, such as titanium or carbon-fiber mufflers. The system is not street legal and is designed for racing purpose. Schuberth C3 helmet available in the U.S.

German helmet maker Schuberth GmbH has announced last September that they will return to the U.S. market during 2011. The first helmet that will be available in North America is the award-winning C3, which made its debut in the European market back in 2008. The DOT-approved helmet features fiberglass composite shell, Bluetooth Communication System, and dual-density EPS liner, which means the foam is softer at the top and harder on the sides. Read the full article »

Video: Harley-Davidson H-D1 customization program announced

Harley-Davidson announced a new customization program for 2011. With the H-D1 program Harley is targeting customers that like to stand out from the crowd. The program starts 4th February, but the manufacturer already released a teaser video.
