It is now able to give riders a solid grounding, a clear career path and all the support possible as they start off their race career. 2010 Triumph Triple Challenge Champion, Jimmy Dye will be making the move to the Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship whilst John Simpson will racing in the British Supersport Cup Championship. Both will run under the banner of the Triumph Triple Challenge and in 2011 these rides will once again be up for grabs. All riders under 26 years old entered in the series can win a Superstock 600 ride for 2012 and all riders between 26 and 32 years old can win the Supersport Cup ride for 2012.

As well as competing on the track the riders will also be competing of the track in the Triumph Triple Challenge Academy. The riders will be given a number of modules to study in a class room style format. These modules will cover PR, race craft, suspension, fitness and diet – all the subjects which are important to a young rider to develop his or her career. They will be tested on their knowledge, a separate points table will be set up and the winner will receive a merit award. The highest placed rider who is eligible for a European Superstock ride (under 23) will be backed by Pirelli to take part in the final round at Portimao. T3 Racing will ensure that a competitive bike will be made available to them so they can take up this generous prize from Pirelli.

So if you sign up what do you get? Well for just £14,300 + VAT you will receive a Triumph Daytona 675, entry fees, tyres, support on suspension set-up with assistance from an engineer, two races per weekend supporting nine rounds of BSB, TV and press coverage. All the riders in the Championship will be housed in a new Triumph Village each race weekend so there is no need to pack an awning. The Village will be in the main public areas at each event encouraging fans to pop in which is brilliant for exposure for sponsors, and makes it accessible to everyone. Triumph is keen to use the Triple Challenge to promote its dealer network so dealer back up is also available.
