Casey Stoner Ducati 1198S Philipp Island Replica

The MotoGP race at Philipp Island in 2009 was one of Casey Stoner’s best we’d seen, the Australian won in front of his home crowd. Making the moment even more special for the fans, Stoner had a special race livery. French Ducati dealership hopes to commemorate that race with a limited number of Casey Stoner’s Ducati 1198S Philippp Island Replicas. The French Ducati dealer added some top Ducati Performance parts and a full Titanium Ducati Corse 70mm Termignoni exhaust system to the bike, while the special race livery costs €1900. Read the full article »

The fastest woman on Earth aims to top 254mph at Bonneville

Leslie Porterfield is one of the fastest women in the world, he already set a new world record at Bonneville Salt Flats, clocking 201mph in the 1000cc Production Class. But the young Texan isn’t satisfied, she is now hoping to top 254mph in the modified class on her Sir Speedy Honda. She says: "I have dreamed of setting records. Ever since I bought my first motorcycle at 16, I have believed that I would become the fastest person in the world. When I first started out, people told me I was crazy, but I was fearless and forged ahead through every obstacle, motivated by the belief that I would one day set a new world record." Read the full article »

Who won this race?

Photo finish is the worst nightmare of sprinters and motorcycle racers for a good reason. AMA Pro Racing had to use this photo finish to decide who won Race 1 of the Daytona Sportbike series at Virginia International Raceway this weekend. The two riders are Bobby Fong (#30) and Martin Cardenas (#36). At the end, Fong won but the margin was only 0,001 seconds. Can You make the call who won? Read the full article »

End of an era: 125cc to be replaced by Moto3

The Grand Prix Commission, MotoGP’s ruling body met at Brno at the weekend and they finalized the demise of the two-strokeengine from Grand Prix Racing. It’s long rumoured that the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) would phase out two-smokers. The new class will be officially called Moto3, with the first season to kick off in 2012. Read the full article »

Official: Rossi to ride for Ducati in 2011

Rossi likened his departure from Fiat Yamaha as the end of a marriage: "even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories," said Rossi after Sunday's Czech GP. The signing will see two of Italy’s great racing legends compete together from next year. The Italian fans’ dream come true, it’s hard to imagine how the fans will welcome Rossi on the red machine in next year’s Italian Grand Prix in Mugello. Read the full article »

Video: Jenny Tinmouth’s zero-emission lap record

No matter if you like the electric motorcycles or not - they're here to stay. We saw the amazing speed of the Motoczysz E1pc on this year's Isle of Man TT, and now here's Jenny Tinmouth's zero-emission lap record at Anglesey circuit, during a round of the UK TTXGP Championship. Her fastest lap was 1:20.922 and had an average speed of 69mph. Wonder how long it will take before electric machines lap faster than petrol-powered machines. Read the full article »

Video: 2011 Dakar official promo

The 2011 Dakar race will take place again in Argentina and Chile. Registrations opened on May 15th and the race starts on January 2nd and finish on the 8th. "After two editions in South America, the Dakar continues its exploration in 2011 of a continent which has impressive potential for new discovery. Heading towards the north of Argentina and Chile, the route skims the frontiers of neighbouring countries and takes competitors through ever more varied country. 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R revealed

Kawasaki has released the first picture of the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R. Unfortunately, this is the race version, so we still don't have a clue, how the headlights will look like. Video: On-board the TT Zero-winning MotoCzysz E1pc

From this yar on there is a whole new category on the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy for electric motorcycles. The MotoCzysz E1pc simply annihilated the competition, reaching 95mph average speed. Video: Aprilia is poking BMW in the eye with the RSV4 Factory

Remember this video from the spring? BMW showed a trick with its supersport machine S1000 RR, a table and some dishes. Aprilia has now released an official response to that. The italians are clearly poking BMW in the eye with this video, in which their motto is: "Tricks are not our talent. Winning is. "Aprilia doubles in the World Superbike at Miller Motorsports Park, Monza and Portimao, while BMW's best result was a 3rd place. Read the full article »
