Video: Ducati Diavel Carbon at Pacific Raceways

Here’s the first onboard video of a Ducati Diavel. And not just any Diavel, the bike on the video is a Diavel Carbon Black. This version was introduced last December. The bike features glossy black tank, black intakes and headlamp. In addition to that, Ducati drops the red Diavel’s metal looking air intakes for the matte black revision. Video: Motus MST closed course testing

Are you curious about the Motus MST’s noise? Here it is, we finally have an audio track of the bike’s KMV4 engine. Development continues on the MST prototypes, shown here at the prestigious Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. At the heart of the MST is a 1654cc V4 which is a downsized version of Chevy’s LS7. The 90-degree engine delivers 161 hp at 7,800 rpm and 122 lb.-ft. at 4,500 rpm, while the redline is at 8,000 rpm. The bike tips the scales around 500 lbs dry. Read the full article »

Marc Coma and Ronnie Renner in the desert on a KTM 450 Rally

Just days after his fifth triumph at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, Marc Coma demonstrated that he has brilliant control of his KTM 450 Rally not only while racing at speeds of up to 170 km/h. Under the watchful eye of Freestyle Motocross athlete Ronnie Renner (USA), Coma made a daring 15-meter long and 6-meter high jump on his 140-kg Rally bike in the eternal desert between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Read the full article »

Volkswagen unveils electric scooter in Shanghai

German manufacturer Volkswagen surprised media at the Shanghai Motor Show by revealing an electric scooter. The E-Scooter is a lightweight electric two-wheeler that tips the scales at 44 pounds without its nickel-metal hybride battery. Power is provided by a 350-watt motor. The small 110-Volt battery endows the scooter with a modest 25 mile range and 30 mph of top speed. Read the full article »
