Maintenance tip of the week: roadside inflation with Gear Gremlin

New from the Gear Gremlin range of motorcycle tools and accessories, the CO2 Canister Valve Adaptor makes light work of emergency tyre inflation. Compact and light, the Adaptor can be left under the seat or stowed in luggage and forgotten about until required. When it’s time for a top-up, just screw a Gear Gremlin CO2 canister into the bottom of the Adaptor and push onto the valve to release the gas and inflate the tyre. Top 10 best-selling motorcycles

According to ACEM, the Motorcycle Industry of Europe, in 2014 a total number of 1,099,000 motorcycles and scooters were registered in the EU. But what are the most popular models? It’s worth pointing out that there are several surprising points of the data – for example, there’s not a single Suzuki, Triumph, Ducati or Harley on the list or that Honda only made it to the top 10 thanks to two scooters. Harley-Davidson reveals 2016 model lineup

More power for 2016 - that’s Harley Davidson’s message for the next model year. ItS all about bigger engines, upgraded powertrains, more power, more torque. Bigger engines will go into the company's Fat Boy, Slim and Softail models. The Softail models also get an upgrade to the High Output Twin Cam 103 engines, previously available only in Harley's larger touring bikes, as will all the Dyna models except the Street Bob. Other new bikes on the lineup include the Forty-Eight motorcycle, the Iron 883 bike and the 2016 CVO Limited model. Read the full article »

Italian suspension manufacturer Marzocchi closes down

American owner of Marzocchi, Tenneco, has today announced its intention to end production of motorcycle and mountain bike suspension completely and shut down its plant in Italy indefinitely, and liquidate its Marzocchi operations. Tenneco currently employs 127 people at the Marzocchi plant in Bologna, Italy and an additional 11 people in its operations in North America and Taiwan. Approximately 138 jobs will be eliminated in the process and the closure is expected to take place fully until the end of 2015. Read the full article »

Confederate P51 Combat Fighter second generation revealed

Confederate Motors has just revealed the second generation of the extreme-looking P51 Combat Fighter. Like its hugely successful predecessor, the Combat Fighter is inspired by the 1960’s rebel, anti-hero and the stripped, raw, chopper he rode. The bike is lighter than its predecessor and it has drag racing derived powertrain. Horsepower? 200. MSRP? $113,900. Number of bikes to be built? 61 units. Read the full article »

Remus exhausts now available for the entire Indian Motorcycle line-up

Indian Motorcycles have just announced the addition of custom Remus exhaust systems to its entire line-up. According to the press release, every model in the range can be fitted with a direct Remus replacement exhaust in black or chrome depending on the model. Models catered for are the Chief Classic, the Chief Vintage, the Chief Dark Horse, the Chieftain, the Roadmaster and the Scout. Read the full article »

Holographic Hammer will turn the Kawasaki ZX-10R into a Scrambler

Turning Kawasaki's supersport machine into an off-road machine does sound pretty awesome, doesn't it? That's exactly what the guys at Holographic Hammer have in mind.
