Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 Factory updated for 2011

The Aprilia maxi supermoto adds further technical elements to meet the needs of more experienced riders. The bike got even lighter and better equipped, and the Factory is now available as a new version with ABS. Arnold Schwarzenegger is AMA motorcyclist of the year

The AMA has chosen Schwarzenegger as its Motorcyclist of the Year because he signed California Senate Bill 435, which brings EPA noise enforcement standards to the Golden State. With this law, California will require “every new motorcycle or aftermarket exhaust system built starting in 2013 to carry a stamp on the exhaust certifying that it meets federal Environmental Protection Agency sound requirements.” Read the full article »

Max Biaggi wins Golden Helmet award

The annual „Golden Helmet” award was held in Bologna last night and this year Max Biaggi, winner of the 2010 World Superbike Championship, collected Motosprint’s award. “It’s nice to win the gold helmet, but the top riders have a very specific meaning, which fills me with pride. New graphics for 2011 Gilera Fuoco 500 three-wheeler

The 2011 version of Fuoco 500 ie has brand new matt-grey colored graphics which enhances its original and aggressive look. The new steel grey color of the front tube trellis frame structure, with inserts in metal mesh, highlights the aggressive design of the front end, a distinctive sign of Gilera's 3-wheeled vehicle, with a chromatic choice also used at the rear end, on the passenger grab handles. 2011 Gilera Runner 50 Black Soul: racing soul with 50cc

For 2011, Italian brand Gilera has created a special edition version of its popular scooter, the Runner 50. This special series uses matt-finish black to enhance the fierce personality of the scooter and the same colour is used on other features such as the wheel rims and the passenger grab handles, whilst gold coloured finishes lend the scooter a supersport look: it has golden streamer graphics that decorate the saddle and fairing, the words Gilera and Runner in gold on the side panels, and gold coloured wheel rim borders. Read the full article »

Video: V12-powered Aston Martin bike

Large motorcycle manufacturers usually stop at eight cylinder, but some riders want more power and more agressive sound that a 1800-2000cc six-cylinder can offer. They usually build a V8-powered custom bike for themselves. But V12? A German guy had a dream and then built this beauty, which is just absurd. On-board video: World’s fastest Suzuki Hayabusa goes 278mph

At the Texas Mile, October 2010, Bill Warner of Wild Bros Racing goes 278.6 mph (448.36 km/h) in a standing start mile, on a 650rwhp turbo charged Suzuki Hayabusa Streetbike. On-board video taken facing rearward using an AiM Sports SmartyCam with in-video display of GPS speed.
