2011 Honda CBR250R new pictures

Honda revealed its newest entry-level street bike back in October, but at the time the Japanese manufacturer only released eight pictures of the motorcycle. Finally, we have more photos of the bike. The CBR250R is probably the most significant motorcycle of 2011, because this is Honda’s first low-cost bike aiming the American youth market. The newbie will challenge directly the Kawasaki Ninja 250, the fifth best selling bike in the US in 2009. Read the full article »

Shiro Art Design – Unique helmet from Spain

Spanish brand Shiro revealed new helmets, including Demi-Jets SH-20, SH-202 Napoli, and Jet SH-80 Art Design. The Jet SH-80 Art Design is meant for those who use their bikes in an urban context, but would never give up the feeling of two-wheel riding. Realized with thermoplastic resins, its original graphics – inspired to modern and contemporary art – will definitely collect the attention while parading in the streets. Read the full article »

Piaggio MP3 Hybrid US pricing revealed

Piaggio USA announced the pricing of its three-wheeler lineup for 2011. The only MP3 listed in the brand’s US lineup is the MP3 300 Hybrid, a 278cc three-wheeler which is able tor un in a fully electric mode. The powertrain of the bike offers performance in terms of acceleration and pickup comparable to a conventional petrol-engined 400cc scooter, making it the ideal solution for medium to long range journeys. The bike features a 278cc 4-stroke engine which delivers 25 hp at 7,500 rpm and 27.5 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. Read the full article »

2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R engine problem solved, sales resume in January

Kawasaki put the new Ninja ZX-10R on technical hold back in mid-December. After much speculation, the manufacturer revealed the problem. The Japanese engineers says that there was a possible surging of the intake valve spring when the bike operated under unique riding operations. According to the manufacturer, this surge could cause the intake valve to seat improperly, resulting in poor engine performance. Read the full article »

Maison Martin Margiela & Les Ateliers Ruby Helmet

Maison Martin Margiela’s collaboration with helmet maker Ruby brings forth a special Pavillon helmet that is limited to 600 worldwide. Each comes with a serial number and distinctive drawings on the helmet inspired by graffiti on the Maison’s actual window. Hardware is engraved with Ruby’s emblems. The helmet is made from carbon/lamb leather and features a black leather interior with an original chrome logo. Read the full article »

Edda Design Buell 1125-CR

Spanish design firm Edda Design bought a Buell 1125 CR street bike just before the American manufacturer closed its doors in 2009, and the company presented the result today. The guys at the firm wanted to give the bike a fresh look, it was essential to them to „keep the "Buell spirit" intact. Buell users are very loyal to the brand and deeply connected to it on an emotional level, so in order to take it one step forward, to give them a new Buell experience, we had to get to know them very well.” Read the full article »

Honda has updated its CBR250R site with Touringlobe, an entertaining animated online tour of the world. Ride your CBR250R, customize your rider and colors, chat with other online riders, and collect medals. Honda’s new 250cc sportsbike is powered by a 250cc 4-valve single cylinder engine delivering 26 hp and 23 Nm of torque. MRI Thumper trike built around a Harley Road Glide

What you can see here, is a very special trike made by Matt Ripley from MRI Customs. He spent 2,500 hours to build this custom trike around a 2006 Harley-Davidson Road Glide trike. The trike participated in the 2010 AMD World Championship in the Freestyle category. It features 2 TV’s, 2 amps and 2 cameras, with over 50 meters of fiberglas being streched to create this trike’s custom body. Read the full article »
