The small German helmet maker introduced its newest high-end product, the SR1. The new helmet is incredible light – the medium sized version weighs just 1285g -, and has just 88db of noise level at 62mph. Being developed in the wind tunnel means that the SR1 has outstanding aeroacoustics – a prerequisite for concentration while riding. The helmet shell consists of S.T.R.O.N.G. fibre, a special glass fibre reinforced duroplastic matrix, and is produced in three helmet shell sizes. Seven-times F-1 World Champion Michael Schumacher contributed to its development. The SR1 will be available in spring 2011.
