Triumph introduced today the 2011 model year Speed Triple, which drops its bug-eyed look. The model features a new aluminium chassis which reduces the weight by about 2 kg. In addition to that, the three-cylinder engine delivers more power and torque. The new numbers are 135hp at 9400rpm and 111 Nm at 7750rpm. Triumph claimes they improved handling, and the riding position is a bit more forward than on the outgoing model. The bike has new Showa 43mm fully adjustable forks, a lower seat position, better brakes from Brembo and optional ABS.
