Yamaha France recently launched two new limited edition versions of R1, but they will be available only on the local market. Both the SP and SP/R Factory Edition are a tribute to the French Endurance team. The first special edition, the SP boasts the same engine as the standard R1, but the bike features new, exclusive colours, a solo seat, seat protective casing of Polytron, a minimalist plate bracket, and a pair of titanium and carbon Akrapovic exhausts.

The R1 SP costs only €3000 more than the standard version. The other special edition, the SP/R looks nearly identical to the SP, but it receives a better chassis performance. The guys at Yamaha France put Öhlins parts at the front and at the back, while the fork comes from FGT Racing, and the fully adjustable rear shock is a TTX 36. The SP/R costs €19,999, but if you don’t want the better chassis, you can choose the SP for €16,999.

The offer is valid until September 30th.
