Video: 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Vaquero

Kawasaki’s Vulcan 1700 is a motorcycle that combines comfort, style and functionality. The Vaquero (pronounced va-kero, Spanish for cowboy) shares its 1700cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, 52-degree V-twin with the Vulcan Classic, Vulcan Nomad and Vulcan Voyager. The bike features Candy Fire red paint, muscle car-styled instrumentation, chrome accents, blacked out engine, air-cleaner cover, wheels and tank cover. Read the full article »

2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R on technical hold

The American arm of Kawasaki has announced it is placing a technical hold on the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R sportbike. According to the manufacturer, there will be two actions initiated through the Kawasaki dealer network. “The company is proactively addressing a remedy which reflects Kawasaki’s commitment to excellence and its relationship with its highly valued customers and dealer network” says the company’s statement. Read the full article »

Wrenchmonkees Kawasaki Zephyr 750

The Kawasaki Zephyr 750 motorcycle is a naked retro, made between 1992-1999. Danish company Wrenchmonkees has customized the legendary model and created a cafe version of it. The frame, the engine, the front fork, the swingarm, the rims are standard. But the paint, including the painted engine covers and all the wirings, the muffler are made in house. Which is the best Police motorcycle? Objective test from Michigan State Police

The Michigan State Police’s Precision Driving Unit tests cars, trucks and motorcycles for U. S. law inforcement agencies since 1974. Last month they performed their annual independent performance testing on four potential Police bikes: the BMW R1200RTP, Kawasaki Concours 14 Police, Harley-Davidson Road King and Electra Glide. Video: Kawasaki W800 retro bike in detail

Kawasaki recently introduced the successor of its popular W650, the W800. We have a new video now of the machine which shows us the bike in detail. The machine features a parallel 2-cylinder 800cc engine with fuel injection that replaces the old carburetor system. The engine delivers around 70hp and plenty of torque at low revs. The power is transmitted to the wheels via a 5-speed gearbox. The classic-style bike uses a lightweight double-crade frame, telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers with adjustable preload. Read the full article »

Video: how Kawasaki’s sport traction control works

The 2011 ZX-10R features Kawasaki’s sport traction control, the S-KTRC. This system comes straight from the race track (MotoGP), and the manufacturer released a video now, which explains the difference between a normal traction control and the S-KTRC. The ZX-10R’s system constantly monitors the separate speeds of the front and rear wheels, engine RPM, throttle position, acceleration and other factors. Kawasaki released the official photos and a video of its popular Z1000 street naked which will get a facelift for the 2011 model year. The bike features the same 1043cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, four valves per cylinder engine as its predecessor but the Japanese brand offers now new accessories which offer more protection and boost the bike’s visual appeal even further. The newest edition to the VN1700 line-up, Kawasaki’s first bagger model follows a wide-and-low concept, its design flowing from the front to the rear of the bike. A number of blacked-out parts and numerous original-design styling components give the VN1700 Voyager Custom a hard, sporty image and its own distinct look.
