The Austrian company introduced its newest model, the 125 Duke at Intermot show in Cologne. The new Duke looks more upmarket than most of its rivals available in Europe. Since the 2004 launch of the KTM Super Duke, the company has consistently developed its on-road expertise. The newest result of this is the 125 Duke, which features a completely new engine with high fuel mileage. The 4-stroke single-cylinder  machine has four valves, two overhead camshafts, liquid cooling, a balancer shaft and electronic fuel injection.

The single-cylinder delivers 15hp at 9000rpm and 12Nm at 8000rpm. With a full 11 litres of fuel, the bike weighs in at only 125 kilos. Rugged suspension components, a braking system developed with Brembo, light multi-spoke wheels and a comprehensive, multi-functional instrumentation make the smallest Duke a real KTM. The mass production starts in the spring of 2011.
