Suzuki unveiled the 2011 GSX-R600, the GSX-R750 and the GSR750

Suzuki unveiled three brand new models today at the Intermot Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany, with the iconic GSX-R range getting all-new 600 and 750 models, along with the debut of a new naked middleweight - the GSR750. Unveiled on the Suzuki exhibition stand at 9.00am local time, the new GSX-R600 boasts heightened performance levels thanks to MotoGP inspired development that has seen the new bike shed an impressive nine kilograms over its predecessor, thanks partly to an all-new chassis that has a 15mm shorter wheelbase, as well as Showa Big Piston Forks. Read the full article »

BMW introduced the new K1600 GT and GTL

Ever since BMW Motorrad presented the concept study Concept 6 in autumn 2009, the new 6-cylinder in-line engine installed in it has caught the imagination of many motorcycle fans. For over seven decades now, 6-cylinder in-line engines have stood for fascinating engine technology in automobiles at BMW more than with any other brand. With the new K 1600 GT and K 1600 GTL, BMW motorcycles are now available for the first time with a 6-cylinder in-line power unit developed in-house. 2011 Kawasaki Z1000 SX leaked photos

Kawasaki will introduce the new Z1000 SX at the Intermot show in Cologne this week, but we already have the first photos of the bike. The new Z1000 SX will be a road-focused sports bike for everyday use, powerful and most likely fun to ride, but not the in the road-going missile class. The bike features a completely revised instrumentation with adjustable screen, an analog tachometer and an adjustable windscreen. Large air intakes dominate the area under the dome. Honda returns to Europe in the field of GT scooters with Faze

Honda will introduce a host of new colours for its current machines at the Cologne-based Intermot Show on 5 October. A number of all-new Honda models will then make their world debuts at the EICMA show in Milan from 2-7 November. The 1500sq meter Honda stand will be one of the main attractions of EICMA, where the Japanese will introduce the new Faze maxi scooter. This model is already on sale in Japan in the 250cc version, but possibly there will be a 125cc and a 300cc version. The Honda Faze will be amended to conform to European standards and goes on sale in 2011. The Faze is a step below the SW-T400. Read the full article »

Suzuki develops e-Let’s electric scooter

The Japanese manufacturer has completed a prototype of an electric scooter named the e-Let’s and has begun studying its operation on public roads in Japan. Suzuki was able to begin the on-road trials after registering the e-Let’s as a moped with the local authorities on 21st September and obtaining a number plate for it. Suzuki plans to use the resulting data in development efforts aimed at creating a production model. The e-Let’s is based on a petrol-engine scooter called the Let’s4 basket. Read the full article »
