Nembo Super 32: an upside-down motorcycle engine

Daniele "Titus" Sabatini, owner, project leader and designer of Nembo Motociclette, presents his new engine, the "Super 32 rovescio" made to equip the naked motorcycles he will build in small series on request for road/track use. Wrenchmonkees Kawasaki Zephyr 750

The Kawasaki Zephyr 750 motorcycle is a naked retro, made between 1992-1999. Danish company Wrenchmonkees has customized the legendary model and created a cafe version of it. The frame, the engine, the front fork, the swingarm, the rims are standard. But the paint, including the painted engine covers and all the wirings, the muffler are made in house. Benelli debuts 2011 TnT 899 Century Racer

In 2011 the Italian manufacturer celebrates 100 years of producing motorcycles. The company created two special editiom models, the TnT 1130 Century Racer and the TnT 899 Century Racer. Both bikes pay homage to the racing legend of Pasolini via a Centenary Green paint scheme which gives the TnT a more sportier attitude. The engineers equipped the Century Racer with fully adjustable Marzocchi fork at the front. The Italians used Brembo radial brakes and yellow rear ahock absorber. Read the full article »

Wunderlich Piranha – the naked BMW S1000 RR

BMW accessories and after parts specialist Wunderlich presented its one-off S1000 RR Piranha Edition in Cologne which is practically a naked version of the Bavarian’s superbike. The transformation kit, the creation of Wunderlich’s very own in-house designer, Nicolas Petite, is dominated by an aggressive carbon-fibre fairing and rounded off to perfection by the dynamic side panels. In the innovative XENON headlight, which needs only one bulb, an electro-magnetically actuated shutter makes the switch from low to full-beam. Read the full article »

Ducati updated the Monster EVO for 2011

The Italian manufacturer presented the 2011 Monster 1100 EVO at EICMA show in Milan. The updated bike is lighter and more powerful, and now features standard ABS and Ducati Traction ontrol (DTC). The 2011 Monster weighs just 373lbs, 4lbs less than the 2010 version. The updated engine delivers five extra horsepower, which means the 2011 Monster is the first two-valve Ducati that reaches 100hp. New 10-spoke wheels replace the five-spoke units on the 2010 models, with Pirelli Diablo Rosso remaining the OE tire. Brembo binders now come with ABS as standard, available as an option on previous models. Read the full article »

2011 Honda CB1000R announced for U.S.

The Japanese brand finally decided to bring its newest naked model, the CB1000R to the United States. The bike, based on the CBR1000RR, features a fuel-injected four-cylinder 998cc powerplant tuned for loads of right-now power, single-sided swingarm with single-shock rear suspension, plus a wealth of new features that give it its own unique identity. The middleweight Honda CBR600F is back!

Honda has further listened to customers’ desires in the middle-weight class and reintroduced an all-new version of the much-loved CBR600F. In 1987, Honda defined the middleweight sportsbike category with the launch of the CBR600F-H, a bike renowned for its ability to satisfy most riders’ needs, being both sporty in feel and practical in nature. This machine was developed over the years with a number of different ‘versions’ right up to the CBR600F Sport, although the ‘F’ models ceased production in 2006 as customer focus turned more towards the CBR600RR territory. Read the full article »

2011 BMW R 1200 R gets new boxer engine

Ahead of EICMA, BMW released information on the 2011 R 1200 R and R 1200 R Classic naked machines. Generating perceptibly higher torques, the new boxer engine provides an extra boost to temperament. Derived from the BMW HP2 Sport, their new boxer with 1170 cc and DOHC valve gear corresponds to the engines already installed in the BMW R 1200 GS and BMW R 1200 RT. The basic R 1200 R has a sporty character with new cast light alloy wheels, the R 1200 R Classic presents wire spoke wheels for a deliberate touch of refined nostalgia. Read the full article »

Video: 2011 Kawasaki Z1000

Kawasaki released the official photos and a video of its popular Z1000 street naked which will get a facelift for the 2011 model year. The bike features the same 1043cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, four valves per cylinder engine as its predecessor but the Japanese brand offers now new accessories which offer more protection and boost the bike’s visual appeal even further.
