Video: 2011 BMW K 1600 GT

BMW introduced the new K 1600 GT at this year’s Intermot, and now, a few month later the manufacturer released a video of the bike. With the new K 1600 GT, BMW motorcycles are now available for the first time with a 6-cylinder in-line power unit developed in-house. The 1649cc six-cylinder engine delivers 160hp and 175 Nm of torque, and now we can understand why BMW didn’t put music in the video, the sound of the engine is quite impressive. Read the full article »

Honda starts lease sales of the EV-neo electric scooter

Honda Motor Co. announced that it will start lease sales of the EV-neo electric scooter on Friday, December 24, 2010. The EV-neo is an electric scooter developed for businesses such as transport of heavy goods or delivery services and which delivers a clean and quiet ride without compromising powerfulness. The vehicle qualifies as a first-class motor-driven cycle in Japan, for engine displacements of 50cc or less. Read the full article »

Cagiva Raptor 125 – Italian style for the teen market

The Cagiva Raptor 125 is one of those 125cc street legal sportsbikes which are so popular among European young riders. The new 125 Raptor owes its name to the introduction of design concepts derived from its bigger sisters, like the front headlamp, the new redesigned passenger seat, and the V-Raptor's handlebars. The Ducati Diavel gets all black

Ducati took the wraps off the new Diavel at the EICMA show in Milan this November, and since then, Ducati has been taking feedback online on the motorcycle. The manufacturer has taken some of the criticism and they created a new all black version. Called the Diavel Diamond Black, the bike features glossy black tank, black intakes and headlamp. Video: BMW S1000 RR subliminal ad

Appearently, BMW Motorrad had some advertising money to waste, so they created an ad which is based on the idea of after image effect. These are practically hidden ads that are projected that is not visible to the normal eyes but register in your brain. After the ad, when you close your eyes, you are able to see the projected image, which was in this case a BMW logo. Note: this is a video on Youtube, not in the cinema, so don’t even try to close your eyes. What do you think? Aprilia introduced a carbon kit for the RSV4

The RSV4 is one of the most faszinating sportbikes on the market, but the Italians decided to make an even more agressive version. Aprilia developed a new carbon body kit for the RSV4 range. Each part is made from three layers (carbon/kevlar/carbon) for strength and finished by hand. The kit includes carbon belly pan, carbon front fairing, carbon tank cover, carbon air vents, right carbon side panel, left carbon side panel, right carbon tail and left carbon tail. One-off Ferrari 900 motorcycle up for auction

No, Ferrari didn’t start building motorcycles. This machine was built by Kay Engineering as a tribute to Enzo Ferrari. The one-off motorcycle features a 900cc, transverse double overhead camshaft, four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The eight-valve unit delivers 105hp at 8,800rpm and has a dry weight of only 172 kg. The estimated top speed of the machine is 265 km/h. The bike will be auctioned at a Race Retro event which will take place at Stoneleigh Park, Conentry on 25-27 February. Read the full article »

The complete 2011 Benelli motorcycle lineup

On occasion of the centenary of its foundation, Benelli has decided to celebrate this anniversary with some interesting news. The primary objective of Benelli for the next year is to regain the trust of the market. The Italian manufacturer will start to develop new motorbikes and scooters, which will arrive in the next two years.
