2011 Honda SW-T600: the successor of the Silver Wing has arrived

Honda uveiled its new superscooter, the SW-T600 which will compete the Suzuki Burgman and Yamaha T-Max. The new SW-T600 wants to be simply the best available for a maxi scooter, offers the same performance characteristics and comfort of the Silver Wing 600 in a building more compact and dynamic. L ‘SW-T600 boasts an extremely comfortable driving position with seat double-decker only 755 mm from the ground and great wind protection. The load capacity is significant: the tail section allows you to stow well two full-face helmets and there are two rooms in the counter shield, one of well-locked 2.2-liter capacity. Read the full article »

KTM 450 Rally: new Dakar race bike introduced

KTM finally decided not to pull out of Dakar after the announcement of the new 450cc capacity limit from 2011. The manufacturer introduced today the 450 Rally which is KTM’s response to the new rule. The race bike features a massive trellis frame, a high-performance engine with larger bore and smaller stroke. The engineers coupled the single-cylinder 4-stroke engine with a 5-speed gearbox. Other interesting facts about the bike: the 450 Rally has a dry weight of 150kg (330lbs) and features a 35-liter (9.2 gallons) fuel tank that saddles the frame. The 450 Rally carries a price tag of €29,300 ($41,200). A spare engine costs €5,000 extra. Read the full article »

2011 Vespa PX 125/150: handshift and kick start

Vespa introduced its 2011 lineup, including the refreshed PX 125, PX 150 and the GTV scooters. Its no surprise that Vespa maintains all of the classic strong points which determined the PX’s success for more than three decades: unmistakable style, functionality, sturdiness of a steel bodyshell, reliability. 2011 Honda CB1000R announced for U.S.

The Japanese brand finally decided to bring its newest naked model, the CB1000R to the United States. The bike, based on the CBR1000RR, features a fuel-injected four-cylinder 998cc powerplant tuned for loads of right-now power, single-sided swingarm with single-shock rear suspension, plus a wealth of new features that give it its own unique identity. Husqvarna Mille 3 Concept: a cruiser with a V3 engine

Husqvarna unveiled today the Mille 3 Concept – a lightweight, V3-powered cruiser/sportsbike. The bike, which appears to be a crazy cross between a tracker, a cruiser and a sportsbike, is powered by a 930cc V-triple (one in two cylinders, one vertical cylinder) engine. Husqvarna says, "Emotion is irrational, curiosity is a gift, and anti-conformism is innate. The middleweight Honda CBR600F is back!

Honda has further listened to customers’ desires in the middle-weight class and reintroduced an all-new version of the much-loved CBR600F. In 1987, Honda defined the middleweight sportsbike category with the launch of the CBR600F-H, a bike renowned for its ability to satisfy most riders’ needs, being both sporty in feel and practical in nature. This machine was developed over the years with a number of different ‘versions’ right up to the CBR600F Sport, although the ‘F’ models ceased production in 2006 as customer focus turned more towards the CBR600RR territory. Read the full article »

2011 Aprilia RS4 125: small sportsbike coming to America

Aprilia will import a new small displacement sportsbike to the U.S. The machine, called the RS4 125 replaces the 125 and features a 125cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine. The engine is fuel-injected and has 4 valves and double overhead camshaft valve actuation system. The Italian engineers coupled the engine with a six-speed gearbox. The RS4 has a twin-spar aluminium frame with a 41mm inverted front fork and a shock absorber out back. Weight is 264 lbs with a full 3.8 gallon tank of gas. BMW Concept C: the scooter of the future

Recent years have seen radical changes in the world of individual mobility, specifically in the conurbations, and the number of registrations has rocketed for virtually all individual transport concepts. However, the space available to traffic has not grown to the same extent, so individual mobility must come to terms with the new circumstances. 2011 KTM 350 EXC-F Factory: the power of a 450, the agility of a 250

KTM introduced its new 350 EXC-F Factory, a newly developed factory bike claims no less than to be the most sophisticated and best four stroke racing Enduro ever. By limiting itself to a 350 cc capacity, KTM intends to transfer the sensational success of the 350 SX-F in the Motocross World Championship to the Enduro segment. The basic tenet of combining the low weight of a 250 with the power of a 450 will give the 350 EXC-F the edge. Honda Crossrunner: new middleweight adventure bike from Honda

The Japanese brand has finally unveiled its new middleweight adventure bike, the Crossrunner. The machine is fitted with a 782cc V4 engine which delivers 102hp and 54 lbs-ft of torque. „The Crossrunner represents the best aspects of two separate biking genres: the flexibility and exciting attitude of a naked performance machine with the upright riding position and rugged appearance of an adventure bike,” says a press release from Honda. Read the full article »
