2012 Aprilia Caponord scooped

Aprilia is going to introduce a new, large-displacement touring bike that will compete with the Ducati Multistrada 1200. Italian magazine Motociclismo.it was able to take a photo of the bike, which will share some parts with the Dorsoduro 1200. The composite frame, the 1200cc engine and some parts of the chassis comes straight from the big Dorsoduro. Details are scare but it’s clear that the bike will feature Brembo brakes and Öhlins forks. The new Caponord will most likely be revealed at the end of this year. Read the full article »

2011 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC SE launched

Aprilia decided to give the RSV4 R the APRC treatment which debuted last Autumn at the EICMA show in form of the RSV4 Factory APRC Special Edition. This means the RSV4 R APRC SE will be equipped with an 8-stage adjustable traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and a quick shifter. Along with these high-tech electronics, the bike also features an improved motor lubrication system and recalibrated gearbox for better acceleration. The exhaust system has also been lightened (minus 2kg or 5 lbs). Read the full article »

Carlos Checa scored a double win at Phillip Island

Spain's Carlos Checa (Ducati Althea Racing) scored a splendid double win at Phillip Island, a repeat of his double win at Imola last September. Just like in the first race, no one was able to run with the Spanish rider and he finished a couple of seconds ahead of Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia). The reigning world champion battled it out for the runner-up slot in the final stages with an impressive Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team), just getting the edge at the line. Read the full article »

2011 MV Agusta F3 development advances, hits the showrooms this Fall

The development of the highly anticipated three cylinder hypersport is advancing rapidly in MV Agusta. Kilometer after kilometer on the track and on the road it is becoming ever more evident that this new model from MV will become the reference by which all other middle-weight hypersport motorcycles will be judged. Max Biaggi unveils Number 1 plate in Australia

For the Aprilia Alitalia team last season was one of triumph and records: Max Biaggi was the first Italian in history to earn the World SBK Champion wreath and the Aprilia RSV4 brought the manufacturer Championship home Noale even though it was only in its second year. A triumph on all fronts which allowed Aprilia to update its extraordinary collection which now includes 45 world titles earned in the various disciplines of motorcycle racing. Read the full article »

Morgan 3 Wheeler official pictures

British manufacturer Morgan has revealed today the 3 Wheeler, together with a video footage showing the classic model. This isn’t the first threewheeler of the brand, from 1909 to 1953 around 30,000 Morgan threewheelers were manufactured in Malvern and many more were made under license by Darmont Morgan in France. In 2011, Morgan decided to relaunch this exceptional design, and the 3 Wheeler is already approved by the US and European road transport authorities. Read the full article »

F1 Tracker by Marcus Moto Design

What you can see here, is a one-off concept motorcycle that very well could be the base for a coming Ducati – or at least that what Swedish designer Marcus Carlsson says. The custom machine is originated from Ducati 996 superbike, Honda motorcross, and Husqvarna dirtbike inspirations. The bike features an all carbon fibre bodywork and agressive design with a huge, 1970's F1-inspired air scoop. Second MotoGP test in Sepang finishes with Stoner on top

The third and final day of the second pre-season MotoGP Test at Sepang concluded on Thursday, and rounding off the three days as the fastest rider on each was Casey Stoner. Getting well under the 2’00” mark with a best effort of 1’59.665 – Valentino Rossi’s 2009 circuit best lap had already been surpassed by both Stoner and Dani Pedrosa the previous day – the Australian continued what has been an impressive switch to the RC212V in the lead-up to the 2011 campaign. Read the full article »

BMW S1000RR Superstock Limited Edition

BMW celebrates winning the 2010 FIM Cup with victories of Ayrton Baldovini with a special edition of the S 1000 RR. The S 1000 RR Superstock Limited Edition was created by BMW Motorrad Italy exclusively for the Italian market. The special edition S 1000 RR features identifications badges on the tank with the serial number, full carbon kit by HP, carbon swingarm cover, street legal Akrapovic racing exhaust, LED turn indicators and HP adjustable footrests. Read the full article »

Honda NSF250R Moto3 race bike breaks cover

Replacing the current 2-stroke, 125 cc used in the GP125 class, Honda developed the new NSF250R as a machine for entry riders to participate in the battle, seizing the opportunity provided by the opening of the 4-stroke, 250cc Moto3 category, which begins in 2012. The Japanese brand didn’t release official specifications but under Moto3 regulations, the NSF250R is limited to a 250cc single-cylinder engine with a bore of up to 81mm and a maximum rev limit of 14000rpm. Read the full article »
