2011 Triumph Speedmaster and Thruxton introduced

The British manufacturer continues to announce its 2011 model lineup. The two newest member are the 2011 Speedmaster and Thruxton. The new Speedmaster features an air-cooled 865cc parallel-twin, 270 degree crank engine. The bike got unique 'hot rod' style. 2011 Peugeot CityStar 125 scooter revealed

French manufacturer Peugeot has recently added a new mid-range scooter to its lineup. The Citystar 125 replaces the Elystar 125 model and will join the Tweet, LXR, Geopolis, Vivacity, Satelis and Sum-up in Peugeot’s scooter range. The new Citystar is powered by a single cylinder four-stroke engine which features direct injection and water cooling. The engine delivers 13,5hp and 12Nm of torque. New MV Agusta F3 voted “most beutiful bike of EICMA”.

The completely new MV Agusta F3 was recently launched at the world’s biggest and most important motorcycle show, EICMA Milan, where Motociclismo magazine organised a poll to find ‘The Most Beautiful Bike of the Show’. Of over 12,000 votes cast, the F3 captured 39%, nearly twice that of the next entrant and well ahead of every other new model at the show. MV Agusta describes this new model as ‘a work of art on wheels’ and its exceptional styling and advanced technology will take this classic Italian marque into the middleweight supersports category. Read the full article »

2011 Yamaha FZ16: sporty commuter bike from Yamaha India

The new Yamaha FZ16 is a mid segment street bike that gives its riders the feel of riding a high end, muscular sports bike. The FZ16 features an agressive, robust styling, huge tank, beefy forks and wide tyres. It is powered by a 153cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine which delivers 14hp and 10ft-lb. It is a bike designed for the urban rider and its design as well as technological features makes it give a feather smooth ride in city traffic. The FZ16 has a price tag of 65,000 Rupees in India (appr. $1,453). However, there are no current plans to sell the FZ16 in the US. Read the full article »

Video: Ducati Diavel and Mercedes CLS 63 AMG

We already know that Italian motorcycle manufacturer and German automaker have signed a cooperation agreement yesterday at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The partnership means that Mercedes AMG will support the Ducati MotoGP team as the Official Car Partner from 2011. The partners are currently examining the further activities and strategic steps they might undertake together in the near future. Triumph America updated for 2011

Triumph has updated its popular cruiser for the 2011 model year. The America got new, more classic styling and a wide range of accessories which allow customers to create an individual look. The engineers pulled the handlebars back, and the seat height is now only 690mm which creates a greater harmony between rider and machine. Wonder Customs Rev 2: V-Rod engine, huge visual impact

The V-Rod is one of the best engines in the Harley-Davidson range, delivering 115hp at 8250rpm. But some customers want even more – Wonder Customs created the Rev 2 for them. At its heart beats the 1130cc water-cooled V-twin, which makes use of a high pressure fuel pump that lives behind the custom fuel tank to ensure the engine receives its required energy. Ducati and Mercedes announce partnership

Ducati introduced its new power cruiser, the Diavel in Los Angeles alongside the new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG, and the head of AMG, Ola Kallanius also took time to announce a new partnership with Ducati. The most important result of the deal is that Mercedes will be official sponsor of Ducati MotoGP team in 2011. Nicky Hayden, one of the team’s rider also attended the event. The Australian rider will get a CLS 63 AMG which produces 518hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. Read the full article »

MV Agusta presented a one-off Brutale 990R dedicated to Milan

The Italian brand has dedicated a one-off Brutale 990R to the city of Milan. The bike, called the 990R Brand Milano, has been presented at Palazzo Marino, the town hall. „A combination of excellence between the metropolis that represents design and fashion and the most attractive bike on the market. Video: 2011 Honda VFR800X Crossrunner

Honda introduced its new middleweight adventure bike at the EICMA show two weeks ago. The VFR 800 X will compete with Triumph Tiger and Ducati Multistrada. Reports says the bike could go into production as early as 2011 and will have a price tag of €11,000. The Crossrunner is powered by a 782cc V4 engine which produces 102hp and 54lbs-ft of torque. The bike features an aluminium twin-spar frame, 43mm cartridge-type front fork, cast aluminium Pro-Arm swingarm, Pro-Link rising-rate linkage system and gas-charged HMAS damper with adjustable rebound damping. Read the full article »
