Kawasaki’s new VN1700 Voyager Custom ABS revealed

The newest edition to the VN1700 line-up, Kawasaki’s first bagger model follows a wide-and-low concept, its design flowing from the front to the rear of the bike. A number of blacked-out parts and numerous original-design styling components give the VN1700 Voyager Custom a hard, sporty image and its own distinct look. 2011 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC Special Edition: WSBK-technology on the street

APRC, short for: Aprilia Performance Ride Control. The APRC was developed using data from this year’s Superbike Championship. While it’s the BMW S1000RR that came out on top in most litre-class superbike shootouts conducted by dozens of magazines and websites worldwide, on the racetrack, it’s the Aprilia RSV4 that has won the battle. 2011 Kawasaki Z1000 SX: Performance, practicality – with video

If You love speed but the ZX-10R was too extreme for you and you love longer jouneys but the Z1000 wasn’t comfortable enough, here’s the solution to your problem: the new Z1000 SX sports tourer. The Japanese manufacturer presented its newest bike at Intermot show. KTM RC8 R Track: race-ready, for real

The Austrian firm is bringing a new track-oriented version of its RC8 R sportsbike to market in 2011. The Track has been developed and produced by the RC8 Motorsport Department for trackday nuts or like those competing in various championships. The motorcycle is compatible with the FIM Superstock homologation and can therefore be used in official championships. KTM equipped the track bike with an Akrapovic EVO exhaust system, WP racing suspension, racing wiring harness, racing air filter, a thinner head gasket and several items from KTM’s Powerparts accessories line. Read the full article »

Video: Kawasaki unveiled the company’s all-new W800 classic bike

After three years of hiatus, the Japanese brand has finally bought us the successor of the popular W650 classic bike. The newbie, called the W800 is set to take on Triumph’s Bonneville range. The W800 features a vertical twin engine, large diameter wheels, traditional instrumentation, and lots of metal – plastic was eshewed in favour of metal as much as possible. The W800 uses a lightweight double-crade frame, telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers with adjustable preload. KTM launched the 125 Duke

The Austrian company introduced its newest model, the 125 Duke at Intermot show in Cologne. The new Duke looks more upmarket than most of its rivals available in Europe. Since the 2004 launch of the KTM Super Duke, the company has consistently developed its on-road expertise. The newest result of this is the 125 Duke, which features a completely new engine with high fuel mileage. The 4-stroke single-cylinder machine has four valves, two overhead camshafts, liquid cooling, a balancer shaft and electronic fuel injection. Read the full article »

Aprilia announced the 2011 Shiver 750

Aprilia North America introduced the2011 Shiver 750. For 2011, the bikes engine and chassis will remain the same, but the agressively styled model gets a bikini fairing with flyscreen, sportier riding position, wave brake rotors and narrower rear wheel. Footrests slightly backwards and handlebars are curved to follow rider’s body, thus giving a comfortable position. Shiver V-90 engine equipped with twin-cylinder that powered 95hp at 9000rpm with maximum torque of 81Nm at 7000rpm. “By being at the top in its class, Shivers gave a very good rotation on torque. Vibration machine is not significant and very smooth power delivery,” the company said in a release. Read the full article »

2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R: with 210hp against the rivals

Finally breaking cover officially, the Japanese brand revealed the 2011 ZX-10R at Intermot show in Cologne. 2010 was an interesting year in the superbike segment, the BMW S1000 RR arrived with a lot of noise. Now, it’s Kawas’ turn. The numbers suggest the new ZX-10R will be a monster with its 200hp at the crank power figure (210hp with ram air) and 436.6lbs curb weight.
