Horex was originally a motorcycle manufacturer in Bad Homburg, Germany. It was founded in 1923 by the Rex glassware company, which conflated Homburg and Rex to create the brand name. They built 600cc and 800cc motorcycles until 1960, when Daimler-Benz overtook the company and production was terminated. A couple of german businessmen restarted the marque in 2010.
