This is the fourth bike of Walz’s “Racing Legends” Bike Series. The Ligier Gitanes is dedicated to the almost forgotten French Formula 1 driver Didier Pironi. Pironi had an almost fatal crash at the Hockenheimring circuit in 1982 but unfortunately he lost his life in 1986 during an Offshore Powerboat race at Englands coast. The photos of the bike you can see here are ironically made exactly at the same spot of the last remains of the old original Hockenheimring circuit Pironi had his horrible crash at.
