The Japanese manufacturer announced the 2011 KLX 125 and D-Tracker 125 models, which Kawasaki says are ideal for new riders. The two entry-level models got only minor aesthetic restyling. Both the dual-purpose KLX 125 and motard-style D-Tracker feature a simple and reliable 125cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine and a lightweight, compact chassis.

The motorcycles feature low seat heights, slim seat designs which makes them easy to ride. The single-cylinder 2-valve, air-cooled engine is a modern, fuel-injected piece. It produces 10hp at 8000rpm and 10Nm at 6400rpm. Compliance with the emission regulations is guaranteed by the presence of catalyst with oxygen sensor. Rigid perimeter frames are mated to highly capable suspension – including, in the case of the D-TRACKER 125, an inverted front fork more commonly found on larger bikes. There is a 240mm 2-piston caliper at the front and a 190mm single-piston calliper at the back. Prices have yet to be announced.
