TTXGP to race in Sweden

TTXGP are pleased to announce a new venue for the TTXGP Euro series: Track Gellerasen in Sweden will play host to the first TTXGP race in the country. Track Gelleråsen was built 1950 and as such is the oldest permanent racing facility in Sweden . The former Grand prix track is 2.4km long and very technical with all the different types of turns and a good straight. Perfect for electric Motorbike racing as will provide exciting thrills with plenty of action. Read the full article »

Uno III electric scooter unveiled

BPG Motors unveiled the newest generation of its Uno transforming scooter, the Uno III. The mini-motorcycle is small enough to fit in an elevator to bring up to an apartment and stable enough to handle Boston’s morning rush hour. The Uno now has three wheels. In Uno mode, the Uno is a unicycle that balances on a single pair of parallel wheels. At high speed, a middle wheel rolls forward and the outer wheels shift backwards transforming the Unicycle into a full streetbike. The Beast bike by M55 Bikes

This is a fast bike called “The Beast” and it’s designed and executed by M55 Bikes and it goes 40 miles per hour. One charge on this electric bike and you’ll go as far as 75 miles even off-road. MINI unveils electric scooter in London

Iconic British brand MINI unveils its exciting MINI Scooter E Concept today in London. The MINI Scooter E Concept comes almost ten years to the day since the new MINI was first shown at the Paris Motor Show. There are a total of three interpretations of the MINI Scooter E Concept conceived by Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design: two of which will be shown at the Paris Motor Show next week, while the third concept, inspired by the swinging sixties, the hey day of classic Mini is being shown exclusively in London. Read the full article »

Video: World’s first all-electric car and bike duell: Citroen Survolt vs. Agni Z2

Electric racecar faced electric superbike for the very first time as Citroën’s striking Survolt concept and an Agni Z2 went head-to-head at Thruxton race circuit. In the capable hands of two professional female racers – Vanina Ickx and Jenny Tinmouth – car and bike battled it out to test speed, agility and performance in the all-electric shoot-out of four wheels against two. Piloting Survolt was Vanina Ickx – Le Mans Series and Touring Car racing driver and daughter of Formula One driver, Jacky Ickx. Riding the Agni Z2 was Jenny Tinmouth, the fastest woman around the Isle of Man TT course and championship leader in the 2010 TTXGP. Read the full article »

Daimler reveals Smart eScooter

Daimler AG has released the first official photos and technical details of the Smart electric scooter which will be unveiled at the 2010 Paris Auto Show next week. The Smart escooter is addressing customers living in big cities who are looking for a practical, unconventional way of transport. Smart, MINI reveal electric scooters in Paris

Daimler-owned Smart has released more plans for a plug-in electric scooter at the Paris Motor Show. The new motorcycle, depicted here in a couple of official sketches, is set to form part of Smart’s upcoming show spread. It’s currently uncertain when the scooter goes into production but knowing that Daimler plans to significantly broaden the Smart lineup we would say the fans of electric scooters don’t have to wait more than two years. Read the full article »

Video: Jenny Tinmouth’s zero-emission lap record

No matter if you like the electric motorcycles or not - they're here to stay. We saw the amazing speed of the Motoczysz E1pc on this year's Isle of Man TT, and now here's Jenny Tinmouth's zero-emission lap record at Anglesey circuit, during a round of the UK TTXGP Championship. Her fastest lap was 1:20.922 and had an average speed of 69mph. Wonder how long it will take before electric machines lap faster than petrol-powered machines. Read the full article »
