Moto Guzzi V11 Sorpasso by Emporio Elaborazioni Meccaniche

There is no ugly Moto Guzzi. It’s just isn’t. Guzzi is one of Europe’s iconic brands with distinctive styling and state-of-the-art technical solutions. And when you think of Cafe Racers, you put Italian motorcycle shops and custom garages definitely high up on the list. The guys of Emporio Elaborazioni Meccaniche took the plastic-wrapped V11 and turned it into a beautiful Cafe Racer, a unique sculpture, really. Read the full article »

2015 Yamaha N-Max revealed

Yamaha has revealed a power-scooter dubbed as NMAX which will be a global product. Produced in Indonesia, the NMAX will be launched in Asia before brought to other markets. The scooter features a newly-developed 155cc liquid-cooled SOHC engine based on the BLUE CORE concept. The new model was developed with the concept "Global Prestige City Commuter" and inherits the DNA of the MAX series, with sporty handling and styling while combining practicality. Read the full article »

2015 Ducati 1299 Panigale: supercomputer on two wheels

Ducati launched the new Panigale and Panigale S models last week in Portugal at the Portimao circuit. The new 1299 Panigale is the flagship of Ducati’s lineup: it’s a 205hp hyper-intelligent weapon with a license plate. KTM outselled BMW in 2014

KTM reported a new company record in both sales and revenue for 2014, for the fourth time in a row. In the business year of 2014, KTM sold 158,760 bikes (Husqvarna included) worldwide, a 28.2% increase compared to previous year. The Austrians also reported a 20.7% increase in revenue (€864.6 million) with an expected EBIT of more than €75 million. Read the full article »

2015 Yamaha YZF-R3 First Look

The competition in the entry-level sports class is getting more exciting since Yamaha has just joined Honda (CBR300) and Kawasaki (Ninja 300) with the newly developed YZF-R3. Designed with speed and agility in mind, the Yamaha YZF-R3 features a class-leading engine, a steel frame, a low seat height and an aggressive styling. Video: how to 3D-print a 1972 Honda CB500

Jonathan Brand is a New York artist who loves motorcycles. He always wanted one but he never actually bought a two-wheeler. Instead, he has built his own bike with CAD, a 3D printer, and 40 pounds of plastic. The process took two years since the motorcycle is rather complicated and each piece took anywhere between four and 24 hours to create. Brand stick the parts together with glue and melted plastic to maintain its transparency. Read the full article »

Honda Grom returns for 2015 with new colors

Honda announced today that its Grom, the compact motorcycle with a big attitude, will be offered in two additional colors for its second model year in the manufacturer's lineup. For 2015, Yellow and Pearl White options join the Red and Black versions that were available in its successful debut model year, with all variants getting a new graphic treatment on the tank covers. Read the full article »

Polaris buys e-bike maker Brammo

Polaris Industries has acquired electric motorcycle manufacturer Brammo. According to the short press release, Brammo will focus exclusively on the design, development and integration of electric vehicle powertrains. The acquisition means that the Brammo brand will most likely vanish but we may see some new electric or hybrid motorcycles in a couple of years. Read the full article »

Marc Coma wins his fifth Dakar Rally

Catalonian rider Marc Coma cruised in to Buenos Aires a hero after he won his fifth Dakar. The 38-year-old equalled the number of titles held by Cyril Despres and one behind another Frenchman, Stephane Peterhansel. He was followed across the line by Paulo Goncalves on his Honda and Australian Toby Price on another KTM. For KTM, it was their 14th Dakar success but with the re-entrance of Honda and Yamaha, each year is getting more and more difficult for the Austrian manufacturer. Read the full article »
