2015 Yamaha YZF-R3 First Look

The competition in the entry-level sports class is getting more exciting since Yamaha has just joined Honda (CBR300) and Kawasaki (Ninja 300) with the newly developed YZF-R3. Designed with speed and agility in mind, the Yamaha YZF-R3 features a class-leading engine, a steel frame, a low seat height and an aggressive styling. 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1

Yamaha introduced the 2012 model year YZF-R1, which has a seven-level Traction Control System, new ECU and new headlight cowl designed to be sharper, more modern, and more aggressive. In addition to the ECU changes and new traction control system, which combine to achieve a new level of drivability, the R1 features muffler covers and muffler end tips plus a MotoGP inspired lightweight top triple clamp. Read the full article »

2012 Yamaha WR450F revealed

This is the new Yamaha WR450F. Featuring an all-new tuneable fuel injection system, the proven WR-F’s 450cc 4-stroke liquid-cooled 5-valve engine now delivers even more responsive and adaptable performance to suit the wide range of conditions experienced by enduro riders. 2012 Yamaha off-road range revealed

Japanese company Yamaha announced its 2012 YZ250F, YZ450F, and WR250F off-road machines, the Majesty 400 maxi scooter and the XT250 and TW200 dual purpose bikes. For 2012, Yamaha’s Off-Road Competition line-up also comprises the YZ85, YZ85LW, YZ125, YZ250, the championship-winning enduro WR250F, the continued YZ-styled 2-stroke PW50 and PW80, and the 4-stroke TT-R50E, TT-R110E, TT-R125LW/E. 2012 models include new graphics, as well as the enduro bikes. Read the full article »

Video: An-Bu Yamaha GX400SP Cafe Racer

Nagoya-based Japanese company An-Bu builds stripped-back customs. Their newest creation is a Yamaha Cafe Racer. The bike is based on the Yamaha GX400SP which was produced in the late 70’s. The guys at An-Bu cut down the frame and lowered the suspension. The Yamaha now features a narrow tank and a tire-hugging tail unit. Yamaha celebrates milestone at Bikers’ Classics

The 2011 edition of the Bikers’ Classics event will take place from 1st-3rd July at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium and Yamaha will be there to take and enjoy another proud step in celebration of their 50th year of Grand Prix racing. The Yamaha Classic Racing Team will appear in all its glory with 21 fantastic historic Yamaha racing machines from 50cc up to 750cc two-strokes, that will be steered on the hallowed curves by former GP stars like Steve Baker, Rod Gould, Phil Read, Giacomo Agostini, Johnny Cecotto and Chas Mortimer, to name but a few. Read the full article »

2011 Yamaha T-Max WGP replica revealed

In 2011, Yamaha is celebrating it's fiftieth year of GP racing with a special paint job that all of their MotoGP teams will be using for the Assen and Laguna Seca rounds, but that’s not everything. The Japanese manufacturer also revealed a special T-Max maxi scooter which will get the special GP livery paint job. Unfortunately, the bike will only be available in the Japanese domestic market. 2011 Yamaha Jog R and Jog RR

For 2011, the 50cc Yamaha Jog R and Jog RR scooters are coming in different variety of new colours. The R version will be available in Satin Aluminium, while the Jog RR looks great in the new Midnight Black livery. Both models are powered by a 50cc 4-stroke engine which delivers 2.0 kW in the R and 2.52 kW in the RR version. The 12-inch aluminium wheels are fitted with wide tyres provide good grip, the front disc/rear drum brake set-up delivers smooth stopping power. Read the full article »

Yamaha celebrate 50 years of Grand Prix Racing with a special YZR-M1 WGP

2011 marks a very special moment in two wheeled motorsport as the 50th Anniversary of World Championship Grand Prix racing for Yamaha. As part of a series of ongoing activities to celebrate this landmark Yamaha Factory Racing will run a special livery, the ‘YZR-M1 WGP50th Anniversary Edition’ for the Assen TT and Laguna Seca races. Reigning MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo and 2010 Rookie of the Year Ben Spies will unveil the livery at a special event on Wednesday 22nd June close to the Assen circuit. Read the full article »
