125cc Triumph in the pipeline?

British brand Triumph could release a range of small capacity bikes. Visordown says a 125cc prototype was spotted on test with the company’s future big capacity models. The British firm announced last year that it will expand its model ranges from three (Urban Sports, Modern Classics, Cruisers) to seven (Roadsters, Supersports, Adventure, Touring, Classics and Cruisers). Unfortunately, the new prototype hasn’t yet been photographed. With sales of small capacity bikes booming in Asia, a move into the 125cc market could be the best move from Triumph in the last 20 years. Read the full article »

Triumph America updated for 2011

Triumph has updated its popular cruiser for the 2011 model year. The America got new, more classic styling and a wide range of accessories which allow customers to create an individual look. The engineers pulled the handlebars back, and the seat height is now only 690mm which creates a greater harmony between rider and machine. The more classic America with its redesigned front mudguard weighs 551lbs fully fueled and ready to ride. Read the full article »

2011 Triumph Bonneville T100: Retro meets modern

The British brand introduced the newest member of its 2011 lineup, the new Bonneville T100. The iconic model uses a 865cc parallel-twin double overhead camshaft engine that delivers 68hp. Neat retro touches like the fake carburettors that hide the fuel injectors, dummy pushrod tubes and positioning of the ignition key pay respect to Bonneville legend. The two-tone colour options complement the traditional Bonneville styling and have the added touch of gold or silver coachlines, painted by hand just as they always have been. Read the full article »

2011 Triumph Tiger 800 and Daytona 675R – photo gallery

These are the first pictures of the 2011 Daytona 675R – a high-spec version of Triumph’s supersport bike. The new machine will be the first Triumph equipped with Öhlins suspension. The bike features high-spec Brembo brakes, carbon mudguards, white/black paint scheme, new Triumph logos, and red subrfame. The British marque didn’t release the technical specifications yet, but it is believed the engine is unchanged and the chassis is also unaltered. First official photos of the Triumph Tiger 800

After all sorts of spy shots and official teaser videos we have got the genuine photos of the new Triumph Tiger 800. The bike will have two versions, the standard 800 and the 800XC. On the pictures, we can see the off-road version, the XC, which features 21-inch front wheel with knobby tires and extended front mudguard. The bike will be powered by the Daytona 675’s engine displacing 800cc. The little Tiger will weight about 440lbs and the engine will produce a little less power and a little more torque than the Daytona’s 124hp and 53lb/ft. Read the full article »

2011 Triumph range videos with the Tiger 800 and the Daytona 675R

Triumph has released two new videos showing their latest bikes, including Tiger 800, Speed Triple, America, Speedmaster and Thunderbird Storm as well as an unknown bike. Rumours suggest that this is Triumph’s newest sports bike, dubbed the Daytona 675R. This could be a tuned version of the standard 675 which will feature higher spec suspension, brakes and meaner looks. Although nothing is official yet, we are pretty sure that the british manufacturer will introduce the new sports bike at the 2010 EICMA show next month. Read the full article »

Video: Kawasaki unveiled the company’s all-new W800 classic bike

After three years of hiatus, the Japanese brand has finally bought us the successor of the popular W650 classic bike. The newbie, called the W800 is set to take on Triumph’s Bonneville range. The W800 features a vertical twin engine, large diameter wheels, traditional instrumentation, and lots of metal – plastic was eshewed in favour of metal as much as possible. The W800 uses a lightweight double-crade frame, telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers with adjustable preload. 2011 Triumph Speed Triple gets lighter and more powerful

Triumph introduced today the 2011 model year Speed Triple, which drops its bug-eyed look. The model features a new aluminium chassis which reduces the weight by about 2 kg. In addition to that, the three-cylinder engine delivers more power and torque. The new numbers are 135hp at 9400rpm and 111 Nm at 7750rpm. Triumph claimes they improved handling, and the riding position is a bit more forward than on the outgoing model. The bike has new Showa 43mm fully adjustable forks, a lower seat position, better brakes from Brembo and optional ABS. Read the full article »

Triumph updates the Speed Triple’s chassis and engine for 2011

Triumph will reveal shortly an updated version of its long running Speed Triple model. The manufacturer filed new documents with the California Air Resource’s Board (CARB) to certify the new bike emissions and weights. This document reveals a significant change to the models emissions. The 2011 Speed Triple will feature a 1050cc engine – the same as its predecessor, however the new model has more fuel going into the engine, meaning it has been fine tuned for more performance. Read the full article »
