2011 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Sports Pack available

Honda UK has announced the special Sports Package for the 2011 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade. The new package will be available until the end of 2011 and will be offered for both standard and ABS-equipped versions. It will be priced at £599 for the ABS pack and £699 for the standard pack. The package includes an Akrapovic exhaust, a bike cover, a higher screen, seat cowl, and a rear tire hugger for the non ABS model. The model will be available with a new HRC tricolor version that includes a stunning gold trim, white wheels, and HRC stickers on the middle and upper front cowl. Read the full article »

Honda NSF250R coming to the U.S.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc., has announced that the 2012 HRC NSF250R will be available in the U.S. Newly developed for FIM GP road racing competition in the Moto3 class, the NSF250R is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled single-cylinder 249cc four-stroke engine specifically designed for racing. In 2012, this globally distributed model will also be legal in the USGPRU Moto 3 and WERA Motorcycle Road Racing classes in the USA, as well as in other local racing events. Read the full article »

Video: Honda EV-neo

Honda has released a new video about the EV-neo . The EV-neo is an electric scooter that was designed to improve mobility in large cities. The scooter features a 72V lithium-ion battery which sends power to an electric motor that develops 2.8 kW (3,8hp) and 11Nm of torque. The EV-neo has a range of 21 miles (34km) on a single charge. The battery pack can be fully recharged in 3.5 hours with the standard recharger or 30 minutes with the rapid charger. Read the full article »

Honda to expand motorcycle production in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd. announced plans to expand production capacity of its second motorcycle production plant, which is currently under construction, and to build a third motorcycle production plant to meet increasing demand in the rapidly growing motorcycle market in India. The second plant is currently being built in the Tapukara Industrial Area of Rajasthan and is scheduled to become operational in July 2011 with annual production capacity of 0.6 million units. Read the full article »

Honda has designed a commercial electric scooter to assist businesses dealing with the transport of heavy goods or delivery services. The special edition Repsol branded EV-neo will be used by the riders and team at Honda Racing Corporation to move parts and personnel around at the MotoGP races worldwide. New graphics for the 2012 Honda XR650L

According to Honda, the XR650L „has grown to become a legend in its own time”, which usually means the bike is on the market long time ago and its successor is on its way. This time, we’ll have to wait more. For the 2012 model year, the XR650L will return to accomplish all kinds of two-wheeled missions once more. 2012 Honda NSF250R Moto3 race bike revealed

Honda has finally took the wraps off the 2012 NFS250R Moto3 race bike. The NFS250R is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 249 cc engine which was specifically designed for Moto3 to be lightweight and compact while delivering high output. To achieve this high output together with excellent responsiveness, the machine incorporates a front-intake/rear-exhaust configuration with high charging efficiency, while adopting a layout with the cylinder tilted back 15° to concentrate mass. Read the full article »

Honda VR4 Crosstourer spy photos

Honda is developing a new adventure sports bike based on the chassis and engine of the VFR1200F. The concept version of the new bike was shown last year at EICMA show, but now we have the first spy shots of the motorcycle. American magazine Insideline reports the new Crosstourer was spotted somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. Called the VR4 Crosstourer, the bike will be powered by the same V4 engine found in the VFR1200F. Read the full article »
