Ducati and Cigarette Racing Team unveiled today the new Cigarette Racing 42X Ducati Edition at the Miami International Boat Show in Florida. With literally dozens of championships between the two companies, the 42X Ducati Edition comes from an unmatched performance heritage. Video: Radical Ducati Mikaracer

Spanish custom bike builder Radical Ducati has created a special bike to celebrate the firm’s 10th year anniversary. The guys at Radical Ducati took the frame and engine of the Ducati Superbike 1098. The bike features modified original airbox, shortened air funnels, WOLFMAN exhaust system, V-Rod front light, carbon fiber mudguard, Rizoma belt covers, mirrors and rear brake lever, RAD alluminium rear subframe with 9 Amp battery support and Mika hand made footrest. Read the full article »

BMW S1000 RR voted International Bike of the Year

The S 1000 RR has won the International Bike of the Year (IBOTY) award for 2010. The 26th edition of the prestigious annual competition awarded top honours to BMW Motorrad’s Superbike, marking yet another significant achievement in its short history in the marketplace. Rossi tests with Ducati 1198 Superbike

Misano Circuit: Seventy-three days after an operation to his right shoulder, Valentino Rossi returned to the track at Misano Adriatico aboard a Ducati 1198 Superbike. On November 14 at Cattolica’s Cervesi hospital, the Italian had undergone surgery on the supraspinatus tendon and the long head of biceps tendon, as well as cartilage in the Glenoid Labrum. Official 2011 MotoGP, Moto2 and 125cc entry lists

The FIM (International Motorcycling Federation) and the official website of MotoGP have released the official entry lists for all three classes. The 125cc and the Moto2 entry lists are official, but MotoGP.com says the list of MotoGP class is still provisional. In this class, 2010 World Champion Jorge Lorenzo will be taking the #1 plate. It seems, two of the teams, Yamaha and Ducati have lost their sponsor: Fiat and Marlboro is out. Besides, Moto2 lost two teams, Jack & Jones by Antonio Banderas and Holiday Gym Racing. Ducati recalls Multistrada 1200

Ducati has issued a second recall notice for the Multistrada 1200. This recall is necessary because of the engine stalling whilst the bike is stationary and the engine idling. To fix the ECU problem, affected owners must take their Multistrada to a Ducati dealership, where the ECU will be re-flashed with a new firmware package. The recall affects 1196 units. This is the second time the new Multistrada 1200 has been recalled by Ducati, the first time being for faulty screws, centerstand, and improper cable routing. Read the full article »

Video: unveiling the Ducati Desmosedici GP11

Ducati revealed the Desmosedici GP11 race bike yesterday, und today, we have a video of the event. Ducati likes to do things in style, that’s for sure. The press conference was held at Madonna di Campiglio, Trento, Italy. Rossi’s bike features luminous yellow painting and number 46. Ducati Desmosedici GP11: Rossi’s new ride

After Yamaha released Valentino Rossi, the Italian driver can officially begin his work at Ducati Corse this week, and Ducati didn’t waste any time and they released a set of photos of their 2011 race bike. For a real Ducati fan, probably these are the most anticipated photos of the year. The Desmosedici GP11 was unveiled at a joint event with Ferrari in the Dolomite mountains. Video: Empty Ducati company and Nicky Hayden

The Italian company launched a special contest this year, which has come to an end. According to Ducati, over 900 designs have been uploaded onto the www.shicon.com website for design competitions, through which Ducati launched the Ducati Greetings Contest. Aside from this, Ducati launched a special video which shows the empty company and the 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden.
