MV Agusta and Mercedes-Benz is celebrating their partnership ties with a jointly designed show bike. The MV Agusta F3\u00a0800 Solarbeam was inspired by Mercedes\u2019 in-house tuning division, AMG and features distinctive black accents and AMG logos. The AMG Solarbeam livery adopts the colour concept of the Mercedes-AMG GT sportscar which means that the bike is very, very yellow. Click through for more photos!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mercedes-Benz is a minority shareholder of MV Agusta since 2014 when the German carmaker acquired 25% stake in MV Agusta S.p.A. The two companies are strengthening their partnership ties with a special bike built for the the 66th IAA Frankfurt International Motor Show this week.<\/p>\n

The show bike was inspired by the Mercedes AMG GT, so it acquires the \u201eAMG Solarbeam\u201d livery of the car. The special F3 is painted black and yellow and has a huge AMG logo on the fairing while there are smaller AMG stickers on the headlamps, at tank, rear and front cowl.<\/p>\n

According to Mercedes, \u201eThis aesthetically and technically impressive vision of the matching look on two and four wheels visualises the passion which the two brands have for motorsports and for combining aspects of technology, performance and design to achieve perfection.\u201d<\/p>\n

In technical terms, the bike isn\u2019t anything more than a pint job, MV Agusta did not touch any of the mechanical components. The three-cylinder engine generates an output of 108.8 kW (148 hp) from a displacement of 798cc. The high-performance bike can be individually tuned to different driving conditions with the aid of four engine maps and eight-stage traction control.<\/p>\n

More importantly, Mercedes has announced that the partnership between Mercedes-AMG and MV Agusta is set to continue after the IAA show in Frankfurt under the joint brand claim \u201eBeyond Adrenaline\u201d.<\/p>\n
