This custom Street 750 is participating in the final of the Battle of Kings competition. The bike was built by Harley-Davidson Centre Cyprus and it is an aggressive, streetfighter-styled custom bike with a more muscular look. The Revolution X has racing wheels, new headlights, a shorter seat cowl and racing muffler. The result is a cool streetfighter with a very aggressive attitude. Read the full article »

The bike comes with original papers that prove the change of ownership – Brando bought the bike on April 8, 1970.
A fully-functioning 3D printed Harley-Davidson Softail has been reveiled at the Californian technology fair RAPID in Long Beach. The bike demonstates the ability to design a motorcycle on a computer, print it in plastic, add tires and an engine, then take it for a spin around the block. The plastic machine is claimed to be capable of supporting two adults - the concept is nothing short of exciting. Read the full article »

Federal Reserve’s recently revealed documents disclose who benefited from a government loan program during 2008. The data shows that Federal Reserve secretly loaned trillions of dollars to major companies including Harley-Davidson. The motorcycle manufacturer got $2.3 billion to help cover operating expenses during the economic crisis. Bloomberg says the money was from the Fed’s Commercial Paper Funding Facility, which also dispersed money to General Electric, Verizon, Barclay’s and McDonalds. Read the full article »

The V-Rod is one of the best engines in the Harley-Davidson range, delivering 115hp at 8250rpm. But some customers want even more – Wonder Customs created the Rev 2 for them. At its heart beats the 1130cc water-cooled V-twin, which makes use of a high pressure fuel pump that lives behind the custom fuel tank to ensure the engine receives its required energy. One of the most interesting part is the twin exhaust. The exhaust is fitted with diffuser disks at the end of each header which keeps the decibels down. Read the full article »

Rumour has it that British sports car maker is turning to Harley-Davidson. Although no official announcement has yet been made, a new company “The Morgan 3 Wheeler Ltd” has been registered to the same adress as the Morgan Motor Company in England. Read the full article »

Wisconsin is giving Harley-Davidson $25 million in tax credits to preserve jobs at its factories in the state. The deal saves about 1000 blue-collar jobs in the Milwaukee area and Tomahawk. Unions at the two plants voted last week to approve a seven-year contract that will freeze wages, result in a loss of 200 to 350 permanent jobs and allow the company to hire casual workers. These workers will be paid about half what full time workers make. Governor Jim Doyle and Harley-Davidson President and CEO Keith Wandell issued a joint statement Friday. Read the full article »

Wisconsin union workers at Harley yesterday approved a seven-year labor contract that keeps work at the Tomahawk and Menomonee Falls plants, although at a price. The new contract will establish a two-tier workforce similar to what the company has at its plants in the York, Penn. The deal preserves some full-time, union jobs, but transitions some part-time, „casual” positions. “It doesn’t feel good now, but we’re happy we kept jobs in Milwaukee,” told Mike Masik, president of United Steelworkers of America Local 2-209, the Milwaukee Small Business Times. Read the full article »

Union employees at Harley-Davidson Inc. will vote today on labor contracts that could determine the fate of their jobs and Harley’s production facilities in Wisconsin. The seven-year contract could cut hundreds of full-time employees. Harley says it needs to cut over $50 million dollars in labor costs at its plants in Menomonee Falls and Tomahawk. If the Steelworkers union does ot approve the new contract, Harley says it will close the two Wisconsin plants and move the production out-of-state where it is cheaper. Read the full article »

But the fans of Buell never loose hope, and there are new pictures and a video of a Buell street bike. What we can see on the images, is a Buell 1190RR race bike with turn signals and radiator fans, just the sort of thing you might see on a street bike. Legally, Erik Buell should soon be free of the contractual shackles preventing him from talking about or competing with Harley-Davidson. The V-Rod has not broken any sales record, though, and rumours suggest that it will be axed shortly. Travis Clark designer thought, this engine would deserve a more sportier chassis and frame, and appearently he did his homework. Travis designed two concepts, a base model with a 88 cubic inch air-cooled V-Twin, and the V-Rod powered Sportster.
