Video: Ducati 848 EVO appears in Mercedes C63 AMG commercial

German firm Mercedes-Benz and Italian manufacturer Ducati announced their partnerhip last November, which includes sponsorship of the Ducati MotoGP team as well as various marketing opportunities. Now, we can see the first of likely many commercials featuring this partnership. Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance tuning subsidiary AMG has released the C63 AMG, which tries to beat a woman riding a Ducati 848 EVO. Read the full article »

Video: Keira Knightley and the Ducati 750 Sport

If you remember, a couple of months ago 25-year-old British actress Keira Knightley shot a new Chanel advertisement at Concorde Place in Paris. Now, we can see both the teaser video and the full length version of the Coco Madamoiselle film „Gabrielle” directed by Joe Wright. Clearly, Keira wasn’t riding the Ducati 750 Sport as the bike was on training wheels during the shoot. And the Ducati? Arai unveils RX-7 GP IOMTT helmet

The latest limited edition helmet design commemorating the Isle of Man TT has been unveiled by leading motorsport helmet manufacturer Arai. The helmet was designed by top Italian designer Aldo Drudi, who has also designed helmets for top motorcycle racers including Marco Luchinelli, Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan, Alex Crivillé, Kenny Roberts Jr, Marco Melandri, Manuel Poggiali and Valentino Rossi. Saline Bird Concept

This concept was designed for the speed record holders Les Triplettes de Bonneville. French designers from ISD of Valenciennes Charles-Edouard Berche, Ugo Spagnolo , Adrien Fuinesl, Frédéric Dobbelstein, and Jean-Philippe Paries built a motorcycle powered by a compressed air engine. The Saline Bird features carbon fibre frame that holds the air tanks. If you want, you can add a leather body panel to the bike for an aerdynamic finish. Read the full article »

2011 Ducati Streetfighter S

The Ducati Streetfighter combines a fighter attitude with naked sophistication, while the S treatment includes street-legal Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Data Analysis (DDA). In addition to that, the S version comes with Öhlins front suspension, Marchesini wheels, carbon fibre front fender and cam belt covers. Thanks to the super-light material, the bike weighs just 167 kg (368lbs). The Streetfighter S uses Brembo’s powerful Monobloc calliper race technology. Read the full article »

Until now the big supermoto category has been ruled by the KTM 990 Supermoto R and the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO, which was recently updated for the 2011 model year. Roland Sands Design Ducati Desmosedici Street Tracker

Justyn Amstutz, proud owner of 3 Desmo’s thought one of his bikes should be transformed into a street tracker. The project is well under way, the sub frame has been complete as well as the gas tank base/airbox cover, top and sides. RSD machined a new fuel pump base and mounted it in the bottom of the tank above the exhaust exit and rear cylinder head at an aesthetically pleasing angle. Stoner wins season-opening Qatar MotoGP

With its victory in Qatar, Stoner is the first rider to win 800cc races with two different manufacturers, Ducati and Honda. The Australian was followed by Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo and teammate Dani Pedrosa. Stoner dominated the whole weekend at the Losail International Circuit, as he also took pole position and recorded the fastest lap of the race with a 1:55.366.
